Happy Canada Day! I had a very relaxing day just laying around the pool and puttering about in the back yard. Sat on the deck and watched the fireworks that were being set off around us. We were in Brantford Sat. evening for a celebration of Canada's Birthday so we just chilled today. Hope everyone enjoys their holiday here and south of the border on the 4th.

I make all of the Christmas cards we send. Birthday, sympathy and other holiday cards, not so much anymore. Birthdays always seem to sneak up on me so they go out late. Even though I have a number of stamp sets for sympathy cards, I just haven't quite gotten the knack for them. I need to work on that, and get some made ahead. I usually keep cards for several years before tossing them. I know when I start cleaning out the house I am going to find many from our KT card exchanges!

Thanks folks...I'd forgotten it myself until some friends started wishing me happy happy on my facebook page!

My husband kept asking me what I wanted to do, and I didn't know...so I took a guilt-free mid morning nap, was barely productive after that for a whole afternoon and then decided I really, really needed a big, juicy burger and fries from our favorite little dive bar hamburger joint. Ahhhhh. Extra sleep, lazy afternoon and beef (that I didn't have to cook). :D

It does sound like a perfect birthday to me, though you still need cake. And maybe a beer to go with that burger, or the "adult beverage" of your choice.

No cake for me, Annie. Don't care for it, really, not being much of a sweets gal. We did have a really yummy cup of hot, home made cocoa when we got home and cuddled in front of the fire...and I won't say it wasn't laced with anything. ;)
