Did I dream this?

I thought in a recent garden magazine I saw an ad for spray paint for wicker outdoor furniture. It came in white, tan, a nice green and a brown I think. I went back through my magazines and couldn't find it. I went to Lowes and Menards and couldn't find it.

Did I hallucinate this product or does it really exist?

I think I've seen ads for this, too. If you go to the Rustoleum site, they tell you which of their products to use for wicker (it doesn't seem to be a special paint, just one of their usual line).

Davisg has it right I believe,

Any good quality spraypaint is great for wicker.
* I'd use a primer, and 3 or 4 coats of paint.
* Clean furniture first though!
* Try the Rust-oleum Professional line. THIS is some nice paint!! Very high solids content & tough.
* The normal "Stops-rust", American Accents, & Painters-Touch lines are also very good...also from Rust-oleum.
* AA & PT series have some very nice fashion colors. Couple of popular ones are Khaki & Espresso.

When I was in college, with no money or space to speak of, I rooted everything in an old aquarium. I put a couple of brick s on the bottom, filled it with RO water to just below the tops of the bricks, and then placed a plastic grate on top of the bricks to hold the pots out of the water. I ran a small aquarium air pump with a very fine airstone in the water to break the surface tension and keep humidity higher. On top of the aquarium I had a piece of glass sitting on some felt spacers to allow airflow and I used the double bulb aquarium strip light, with full spectrum bulbs for light. I ran the light on a timer 12on 12off. In winter I added a small submersible heater to keep the temp up. I rooted just about everything under the sun, germinated a ton of seeds, and even grew ferns from spore in this old tank. I tried just about every, small scale, method under the sun during those years, but nothing compared to the old fish tank.

Oh Peppi............ I am not suggesting there aren't similar recipes, but I have yet to see one that uses Rose's Lime, and the increased tequila which is what makes this recipe a stand out(and much better IMO)... many use cream cheese, fresh lime, granulated sugar, etc and other variations on a theme. I am just saying this particular iteration is one that my GF and I came up with, and the one that I posted on the Cookalong. I see no reason why I shouldn't claim *my* version. Did someone here paint a clawfoot tub?

Mine was resurfaced in the interior of the tub with some kind of plastic coating. At first, it resembled very closely real glazing, but after about 3 years, the applied coating began to chip off. Anyone know of something I can touch it up with, to avoid having to have the whole thing redone? I am told that no-one will take an old tub and re-apply a new coat of glazing to the cast iron, and that the plastic stuff is the best restoration you can do. I wouldn't have even considered refinishing it, except for some severe damage to the original glazing on the bottom of the tub. It wasn't chipped, but there was an irregular spot where the sheen was totally gone, leaving a rough, yellowed, sandpaper like texture.

Went to the site and none of the cans shown are what I remember. Went back to my stack of magazines and found the magazine that had fallen out of place.

It's Krylon Outdoor Spaces. It's not widely available. Well not at the stores I normally shop at.

So, Faron, does this appear to be superior to the rustoleum line? It specifically says an application is outdoor wicker. I have a LOT of outdoor wicker. DH thought he should take it to an auto body place over the winter and have them spray it.

Hi Elvis,
We've got the Krylon O-Spaces at our store, along with the other Rust-oleum series.
* You wouldn't go wrong with either series/brand.
* An auto-shop would be a good application idea!
* Do you mean having them transfer your spray cans to a sprayer of theirs?! Or, having them shoot a color of "normal" liquid paint??

Not sure it was DH's idea. :~) I was at Walmart and picked up a can of Kilz spray paint. I have a plethora of things to try it on. I plan to start with that and see how it goes.

update: The Kilz spray paint worked like a charm. I am very happy with the result. I will likely still check out the Outdoor Spaces paint for the final coat but the Kilz did manage to cover up not only the old white paint from last year, the grey paint under the white paint which DH would be good to cover the deep hunter green it came as. (Great deal, loveseat, two armchairs, a rocker, a coffee and end table and a plant stand for 100.00 at Goodwill)
