I think you've already answered this question, but I'm too lazy to search for the answer... What on earth was she bred to? his color is sooo odd. Are you going to steer him and beef him? I'm sure you're aware that Jersey bulls are the nastiest out there. But he certainly doesn't look very much like a Jersey! He is cute, though. We steered all our bull calves (hereford/red angus), and now we're regretting steering one of them. He's huge, beautiful and very well mannered (thus far). He's all red and would probably throw red babies if bred to a red angus. Sorry for rambling, just curious to know that little guy's lineage. Erin

Hiwthi - Oh yeah, we'll let them sniff everything. "So many people dump their cats the minute a baby is born and that is so horrible for the cats and so unnecessary." I agree 100%. It absolutely grates on me to hear how people dump their animals because they're going to have a baby. No. Honestly there's nothing in me (or DH) that wants to wait to find out. I just can't bring myself to buy neutral stuff or decorate a neutral nursery. Maybe we will for #2. On the flip side, if they're wrong.... hooo boy! Won't that be something. Work - I got a chuckle out of the nursery color. Did everyone then start buying you boy clothing? Les - You mentioned about not knowing what they'll look like... I'm sooo excited to see what the baby looks like. Either gender, will it look more like me or DH? A combo? I look at a newborn baby and think where it comes from and know it's going to hurt more than I can imagine. *cringe* It's amazing to me that our bodies can do all that. Anette - They are very easy to make! You will have so much fun. First, decide which candy bar you are going to use so you will know what size the wrapper will be. Carefully take the wrapper off one bar and make measurements... the whole size of the paper, the front area where you will be printing most of your graphics and words, the back (usually in two parts where the wrapper is glued together) and more graphics/phrases can be printed, etc. Then look at some of the sites that sell baby announcement wrappers if you need some ideas. There are oodles of them... just do a google search. (Or post back here if you can't find any and we'll point you to some!) Once you've decided what you want on YOUR wrappers, gather your photos (in digital form, or scan them so you have them in your computer), any clipart you want to use, etc. Then either use one of the software products made specifically for wrappers, or any other desktop publishing software or card crafting software, or even Word. Layout the rectangles (front, backs, etc.) and put your 'stuff' into them. Print a sample or two and try them on the candy bar to be sure they look just as you want before you print off a hundred of them! To get the glossy finish typical of candybars, you will probably want to use a paper other than the standard printer paper. Look at the paper selection at your office supply store, or ask here again. Some folks use photo paper, but other people think that, although glossy enough, it is too stiff and doesn't bend around the candy bars. When you get to the assembly point, be sure to leave the original paper wrappers on the candy bars so your recipients will know what they are eating (in case of allergies, etc.). Katie, I have mixed feelings about the sub. Yes, it's so impressive to see. The doors feel like they should be on a bank vault. When you open the door at night, the lighting is so bright and white(I'm waiting to hear the "angel choir" sound :)). But then I think about just how expensive they are and then I feel a little silly. We also bought a full size fridge and full size freezer by frigidiaire commercial series, which we put in the basement. They look and work great, but without the bells and whistles of the sub and not as quiet. But they cost together a fraction of the sub's price. Downsy- thanks. I originally wanted a dark stain on Cherry, but my wife pushed for this finish and I'm glad she did. Yes, the granite is baltic brown. We had our heart set on this from the beginning(the fact that it was a lower tier didn't hurt, either!) The pictures don't really show how well it goes with the cabinet. The colors match the cabinet such that it makes the glaze "pop." We're so pleased with the result. misstaceyh-Thanks, we weren't going to go thru with running the lights to the island, but thank God my brother is an electrician, or else it wouldn't have happened... He spent many hours doing the lighting after closing, which made it more difficult.
