Pampers Points

I know some of you saved points from Pampers to receive free toys, as I did also. I was just wondering if they are going to start up again with new toys or is it over? (I know this last one ended Jan 31) Have they done them in the past, or was this just a 1-1/1/2 year long promotion for their diapers. I hope that they do it again. Such a neat idea. I looked at the Huggies website and it looks like their contest ends next month...too late to start buying Huggies and saving their points (DS fits well into almost any brand of diaper)

The Pampers site says that while they can't guarantee that they will start up the program again, they advise it would be a good idea to still collect points in case they decide to re-start it or another program. Whatever that means?!?!

That means they want you to keep buying Pampers, even if the points are worthless. I sent in my points for a jeep a couple of months ago. After about a month I hadn't heard anything from them (I was expecting to get a letter say it was back ordered). I sent them an e-mail asking them to confirm that my order is being processed. They never answered me and I still haven't heard anything from them. When you guys placed your orders did you receive confirmation?

Hi Phyl, With over 300 rosebushes (and growing) I don't limit myself to just the old roses, rugosas, Explorers, etc...although I do appreciate them for their ease of care. I grow many, many roses that should not be hardy here in zone 4 and yes, I do have to cut them back all the way to the ground every spring. They always rally and put forth new growth and I am content with plants that will never exceed 2 to 3 feet at the end of the summer. I just enjoy them for their lovely blooms and expect no more than that, always happy that they come back each year in spite of my nasty winters. The upside to these more tender roses is that since they will never get large, I can plant MORE of them since they aren't going to use up my precious rose real estate like the hardy ones which get huge. This winter we had record snowfall and I thought that would be a good thing, since the roses would be more insulated. It was good in terms of them not having much winterkill from the cold, but the weight of the snow busted them up so much that I ended up cutting even the hardy roses back severely because there was so much breakage. It was heartbreaking because even the tender roses came through with more green cane than usual. But already they are sending up shoots and looking vigorous. I never let it discourage me for too long, because giving them their annual "haircut" stimulates them to grow and bloom just fine. Its discouraging at times to live where there are so many obstacles to rose-growing (japanese beetles being my most dreaded foe) but my passion for roses is a greater force than anything Nature throws at me. Hello everyone! I feel back in the groove! Drinking lots of liquids and counting every point, down the 1/2 point!! Only used 4 flex points this week. Have a luncheon meeting where the agenda states "pizza and wings". Pooh! I brought in a zip-lock bag of celery and cherry tomatoes to have before I go in (or I'll bring it along). One slice of that pizza they serve is 6 points, so I should be OK. Had 2-points of yogurt for breakfast, and I also brought a 1-point banana for later this afternoon (before my exercise class). On the pampering front, I've not gotten to it yet, but tonight, I plan to give myself a pedicure while watching the final American Idol show. (OK, I'll admit that I watch it!) Two years ago, DH gave me one of those wax machines that you put your hands or feet into...I'm gonna use that before my polish. Then before I go to bed, I'll put on heavy foot cream and cotton socks so that I am ready for sandals this year! Hoping that with my weight loss, I can start getting prettier shoes that have a younger look!! Gotta run and take this phone call. Why does business get in the way of my stuff? LOL!!!

If you buy the pizza pan, make sure it is stainless steel instead of aluminum, as aluminum can melt on wood/charcoal grill. If you are using a gas grill, you will not get a smoky flavor - unless you are adding wood chips - and so there would be no point. I use a pizza stone on my charcoal grill, and I still get a smoky flavor, and so I do not think the holes in the bottom are really necessary for the smoke to flavor the pizza. They might help, but they are not needed for flavor. However, all of my pizza pans have holes in them, and so there may be another function to them. I used to have five pans, but now I have four... I've never seen a Pampered Chef store, and so maybe they are only in the East. Lars

I sent in my points end of November. I ordered three things, the Jeep, a set of books, and a Little People toy set. I got the book a couple of weeks ago and there was a packing list that said the Jeep is backordered until July!! So if you sent yours in around the same time as me, it is probably the same deal. I think the only reason I received any sort of confirmation was because one of my items was shipped to me. I think they are not very organized and were not prepared for the volume of orders they received. My sister sent in her points back in September and she got a confirmation before she received any of her stuff, and they gave her the option to pick something else if she did not want to wait that long for any of the items. She ordered some books and the Jeep. She got the books first and then she eventually did receive the Jeep.

I sent mine in in November, I've heard nothing! We ordered the Jeep. No way am I going to continue buying their products when they can't even keep up with promotions they offer. (Just like Bensmom said, they want you to keep buying their products) Anyone in their right mind would know that when you offer something like that you'll get a huge response! Come on, anyways, I'm still waiting for my Jeep, at least by July Johnny will be 1....Well, anyways, they are part of Procter and Gamble, the makers of Tide and just about everything other product out there. I don't think they're hurting..Besides, after all this I have enough pampers to last till he's 1!

I sent in an order for the Jeep back in October and just got a confirmation of the order in January, saying that it was backordered until July. I then sent in for 2 additional toys in January and have not heard anything yet. I am a little disappointed in how long it has taken to get a response from them, although I do like their diapers. I can't believe that they told someone to keep saving the points (from above post). That's a little strange...
