you can absolutely do the layering in containers just as you would in a boxed off regular garden. People even get those big 50 gal round plastic trash cans cut in half and grow potatoes in straw...clean potatoes! i'd imagine a kiddie pool could be useful...all amended with appropriate drainage holes, I would think. have you ever read any of Patricia Lanza's lasagna gardening books? There's one specifically for container gardening. I love her!

I Thank God everyday that this wonderful man entered her life! I told Christy if he didn't marry HER...I was gonna ask him to marry ME! I was determined to keep him in the family!LOL I also told Christy that some people marry for love...some marry for money..but Danny married her because I was going to make such a great Mother-in-Law!!! My MIL set the example of the perfect MIL from the day DH and I married. If I'd custom ordered my MIL..she still wouldn't have been a wonderful as the one I have!

Actually, that just means I was born before most of you! :) I was also blessed to grow up with a DM who quilted. As I said before even though I grew up with a DM who quilted when I made my first quilt it was a very small baby quilt. I have said on here before that when it was shown to me later I thought it must have srunk!! No, just my inexperience. I then made one using the same embroidered baby animals for my niece's child an appropriate size. She was so gracious she used the one I had made for her as a wall hanging in her son's room. It was, at that time, about 30 years old. I had my 63rd b/d last week. Needles and thread in many different forms has been my hobby I always go back to even though I've tried many other things. kbmas0n, No my kitchen isn't in the FKB. Everytime I go to take a lot of pics, they're either blurry or I have stuff all over the counters! I'll work on it one of these days. The white cabs are just a creamy white (kelly moore), but I don't remember the name and the glaze is a brown I picked up at Lowes and gave to my cabinet guy. The outer cabs are knotty alder, with some sort of dark stain my cabinet guy came up with. The island top is dark walnut and the floors are oak. appliances are subzero, dacor df, monorgram convection/mico, monogram compactor, miele dw, copper main sink, and shaws prep sink. Once I get some decent pics, I'll see if starpooh will put in the fkb. Thanks
