jayme, what's the official decision on your OTSBH?

I thought I'd wait a bit before asking so that you'd have a chance to try it... anxiously waiting, actually! I took a look at the Snugli we bought, and man, it's not even that easy to put on by yourself and THEN the baby... and you can't even zipper him in or anything... just drop him in it. I don't know how you even managed using it, but I'd love to hear how you fared with the sling.

sorry i didn't write earlier but i had a little mix up. i got the sling and they gave my a large when i needed a medium and when i exchanged it and got it home my husband couldn't use it so i had to go back a week later and get the large again.
that said, i really love it! let me warn you though, it takes a littel while to get used to. i rented the video they had and it showed how to use it and that helped bunches.
i can't wait till phoebe gets older to use it more!
it is 100 times better than my snugli. the last time i used my snugle phoebe got really upset and it seemed to take me forever to get it unlatched and then take her out. by that time the little whimpers was now crys:)
she likes the sling though and if she does get a little fussy because of the postition it takes seconds to get her out. i'm not an expert with it yet but hopefull by the next couple of weeks to months i'll be a pro!
if you want i can download a picture at my website to see how it looks and how the baby looks in it. she's 12 wks. this tuesday.
let me know if you want me to do that and i'll take a pic w/our video camera and download it tomorrow:)

I suspect I will oil it at least once; I should try it on the piece that won't be visible when the cabinet goes in today. Blackeyedpeas - knowing the gender of the baby before it's born is like knowing what your birthday gift is ahead of time. Ruins the surprise, which is almost the best part, IMO! Neither of my kids wanted to know in advance (and in "my day" it was not possible to know), and I suspect my next daughter will want a surprise package, too. So...I'll get there eventually. Thanks, everyone.

I'm glad to hear we aren't looking at the back! My back has dark fabric and light on the front, so I was going to do the thread the same way, but I don't like how it looks on the top. So, light thread in the back, too. Ugh..... Still trying to quilt this thing! Robbi

Congrats Rose! Sending selling vibes your way! Thanks! I'll send some your way too Congratulations on finding the perfect house for you. How long will it take before it is built? That gives you some time doesn't it? To do a few things in your old house and pack and everything like that, that sounds good to me - move from one house right into the other without having to store stuff. Good luck with everything ... more later. The guy said it may be ready for my birthday in March and if not, probably for hubby's Bday in April. We'd really like to get this house sold asap, we will then rent something. We have a storage unit right now and if we could find a house to rent could clean out the storage & my SS's storage, then it would be 2 less bills to pay. The storage went up since last February, thankfully we didn't get a POD, it would have killed us. As weird as it sounds, everything happens for a reason and if our house doesn't sell right now, it may be for the best. I'm really not in the shape to move twice with my back & think that my dad's been looking out for me (guardian angel) after all I did for him while he was sick. I wouldn't be surprised if we sold right before our house was ready with us being able to move into our house, then new owners taking possession. Selling now would be better though :)
