Yes, years ago,1985, when my husband and I were on vacation in London, away from it all, away from everybody, I dreamed my sister came to me and said "Mom is dead". I wanyted desperately to phone her in the US, to make sure she was okay. DH told me I was silly. When we returned home, I did phone and she was fine. But this January 15 my sister DID phone to tell me "Mom is dead." I always knew the news would be coming from her. I also believe in ghosts- and so did my Mom. She used to hear her dead mother walking around the house at night.

A few days before my sister passed, my husband and I both heard a shrill whistle in the middle of the night. We were both sound asleep when this happened. It happened twice, like someone was trying to get our attention. After she passed we never heard it again.
Also my FIL played a trumpet in a band in his younger years. After he passed (he died in his home where we lived to take care of him) I heard a trumpet blare in our dining room. Strange

I've had a lot of what I consider after-death communications, here are a couple of them.

A bird started sitting on my porchlight right outside my front door. The bird wasn't scared when we went in and out of the house. After a couple days I thought the bird might be a harbinger (a messenger). The bird stayed there for an entire week until I accidentally stumbled on an old friend's obituary. The bird had shown up the night my friend died and I knew the bird would be gone once I knew my friend had passed away... and he was.

Another of our friends died and the day after his death I was awoke by the sound of hammering (there was no construction going on) and when I looked something up that morning on Google images.. there were several pictures of hammers (my search had nothing to do with hammers). Our friends last name was Hammer.

I love when these things happen, it doesn't scare me at all. I even keep a journal of my adc's and synchronicitys.

Probably the strangest thing that's happened to me...was the cat that showed up the night my husband died. He showed up literally out of nowhere within minutes of when my husband died. The Medics were STILL at my house. House/yard was full of people...and this goofy cat attached himself to me and my son..and refused to leave! Almost 3yrs. later....he's still here!:)

I have a special needs sister who lives in a Home. She was very close to our father. Both parents were also in the same Home. He had a stroke about a month before he died and had to be moved to a skilled facility. His last words before he lost his power of speech was to me and one of my sisters.....it was to take care of Annie.

I was with Dad most of the time the day he died. Mom got to spend some time there too. After he passed, we all dreaded having to go tell Annie. The others waited in another room while I went to get her. Her face lit up like a Christmas tree when she saw me, and she said: Oh, Shirley, I'm so happy........my Dad came to see me today and he told me that everything was going to be alright and that I'd be taken care of.

There's no doubt in my mind that he -did- 'visit' her that day.

Years ago we lost a very dear friend who was a second grandma to my GD. After she passed away, my DD woke up, heard something in the living room, went down and the rocking chair was going by itself. She sat down in it, just crying her eyes out, and all of a sudden it stopped and she felt a calming soothing breeze as if to say it is ok, I am not suffering anymore. Never did it again. She had been quite ill with various illnesses. I really miss her.

I've posted about this before. After my son, Brian died expectantly,We had gotten out pictures of him during his lifetime. I kept out one that I especially liked. One I had taken when I had gone out to CA to visit him and meet his wife. They took my to see the ocean and as we were walking back from the waters edge, I said to Brian & Pam, lets see a smooch, and i took the picture. I really liked that picture and planned on framing it. The picture had been on the dining room table, but then I couldn't find it. I looked high and low but it was gone. Then a few days later, I walked into my bedroom and there was the picture in the middle of the bed. Neither Hubs or I can figure out how it got there. We figure Brian was playing a joke on us, as was known to do growing up.

The night my husband's uncle died of a sudden heart attack, he was talking in his sleep "Yes, yes, I'm coming." His wife (DH Aunt) said he was talking to God, who had opened up the pearly gates for him.
A friend's mother was in the hospital, dying of cancer. They told her a priest bamed "Father Paul" was coming to give ger last rites. She was so happy. Her late husband was named Paul. She kept saying "Paul is coming for me" on her last day of life.

I posted this before. My friend's dad came to me in a dream and told me he had died, but that everything was OK. The next day I thought that surely they would have called me, but I was overlooked and read about it in that next night's newspaper.
My dad came much later - long after he was dead and said almost the same thing - he is all right. He was in his army uniform and much younger.
And the latest - I only shared this with my cousin. The day after Sam dog died, I looked over at the neighbors and saw a black and white sheltie that they dogsit occasionally. I watched the dog cross our country road - go in the empty cornfield a foot or two and come back across the road. I thought to myself that someone better watch that dog closer. I looked quickly down and then back up and the dog was now their spotted beagle Dottie..Sam dearly loved Dottie, but why a dog would change into another was weird. I guess either he wanted me to see him or maybe I just wanted to see him.
