Ms. Blackie is certainly spooky enough for Halloween! We used to have lots of Black cats around our farm but they are now Black & White! Watchyl Digital Scream was amazing for me this year and I wrote it in for my Pop Poll. That is my favorite form with the curls! Great pics. Some one has got to have more "Candy"s!

Happy Day after Halloween!! So sorry I was MIA for the last couple of days. Unexpected family thingy's going on...and of course, HALLOWEEN!! My 2 dinosaurs sure kept me on my feet yesterday that's for sure :) I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! I may take a couple of days to recover. But, its so nice out today, I better get outside and take down all my decorations. We have graveyards, archways, ghosts, and skeletons...everywhere!!! It will take all day to pack it up...then on to turkeys and haybales for Thanksgiving :) Shirley, Is bear poop lucky?? I heard an old wivestale that if a bird poops on you its lucky...does the same go for bear? :) I can only imagine how much you had to wash off...ewwwww My mom loves books on tape, and gets them from our library too. My husband just started listening to them when he's in the truck, he really enjoys them. Our library has a used book sale a couple of times a year and they always have books on tape too. I got some for my mom for 50cents each. Jeanne, Congratulations on your new family member! Sydney is a very lucky pooch! :) Margo, I'm glad your little one is starting to feel better. :) Bunny, the garlic is from the garden. You can eat some and plant some if you'd like. Although blogging is fun and it is neat to share my 'scapes with more people, whenever I read the comments from my "HOLIDAY" friends, I feel such a sense of belonging! It is partly my fault for not being more "involved" with other bloggers but the comments left for me here are just so touching and meaningful. Thank you so much ladies for your compliments and funny commments! Luvs, you are a hoot! You are so right, Ms Witch might just stare you down for your food or play some prank to get it! Glad you like the new format of my blog...it is definitely a learning process for me and I'm happy when I stumble on something better or get advice from Kathleen! Jane, the witch is probably not a good choice for an actual dinner party and nor are the ravens up high as they all break my own rules of obscuring sight lines and they only look good from one side of the table. Course, those viewing from the back wouldn't have the witch's evil eyes on them! lol! Karen, thank you. I am honoured that you check out my blog now and then. Yes, the reno project is overwhelming to me right now...I can't even decide on a paint colour! Gail, I'm always working on how to take better pics. Got DH involved in this one as he used to do the lights for a local band and now has all this equipment in the garage. He bought a stand for me and came up with a plan to use some of the lights on it. Its a problem for me though as it is too big for me to put together...guess he will be involved every time I tablescape! Yachter, I'd love to come do another Thanksgiving table since our Canadian one is over. What time should I show up? Course, I expect a turkey dinner in payment! LOL! Thank you, again, everyone! Like I said, Cruella's pretty easy to recognize. How could you not know who that black and white hair, big fur coat, gloves, cigarette holder/cigarettes (the ones I used are fake as I do not smoke at all), and that make up belong to lol. I LOVE Ursula, too! The Little Mermaid is one of my all time favorites. Hmm, makes me think twice about choosing another different costume for next year lol. Thank you all so very much! Really nice - wouldn't have expected less from you! My favorite component is the green pepper; love how that naturally came together.

I took inspiration from your buddies over at smokingmeats, last year's October throwdown. Kept it basic, and it was sloppily thrown together due to lack of time. (Worked late while the kids trick-or-treated and wife stressed about getting us packed for a weeklong vacation. At LGA right now.) Ok so it didn't turn out well but it was fun. Definition on the skull was better than the picture shows.

Dcarch, what did you use for maggots? I like the witch's hat, but then I always had an affinity for that character... at Halloween ;)

Great job, everyone!

Halloween itself was kinda uneventful, although, I did watch Beetlejuice and some Halloween-themed movies. Tonight, it's the Halloween party with my theatre family! I will try and post pictures of me in costume!

Dcarch, that is truly disgusting, and wonderfully gross for Halloween. I like the peppers a lot, the maggots less. (grin)

We just had the grandkid's birthday/Halloween party today, so I'll be posting pictures too, soon. Tomorrow Makayla is making her mother's birthday dinner, with me as sous chef, so we'll see if that's scarier than today's dishes!

I didn't realize they were supposed to be maggots. I'm lucky to have never seen anything like that before, I guess. :)

FOAS, your meat man came out great. lol! I wouldn't be touching him! Have you seen the pic floating around that looks like a wrapped mummy w/ openings for the head/brains, stomach "guts", and other meat-parts like ribs, arms, etc.? too much for me! :O)

Here's my Halloween costume! The party last night at the theatre was a lot of fun and people LOVED my costume! I forgot to put on my earrings before I left, but it still turned out great!

I'm not seeing a witch's hat in the second image, as someone mentioned. It reminds me of a tentacle, from 'Alien.' Maybe? Anyway, I love them all.

Thanks everyone. It's good to have an excuse to play with food.

FOAS, that is a very stomach churning creation, for me. Reminds me the one time I actually had to walk thru the autopsy room of Cornell Hospital to visit a friend.

Brad, that is totally outrageous! You do have true talent in theatrics. Thanks for sharing.

Love all the photos! I thought I had already looked at this thread, but apparently I hadn't, & what I missed. Love the food photos, but dcarch is always fabulously creative with food. I'm just lucky to get it on a plate. Found Brad's photos on another thread, they are great, & I love Morticia & Gomez, Thing is just perfect.
