Anyone have a Kraus, Pegasus, or Vigo Faucet? Feedback requested.

I'm shopping around for a new kitchen faucet and have seen several "off-brands" (not the major ones) that I like and can afford. Since they are not the ones I'm familiar with, I'd love feedback as to quality and features of Kraus, Vigo or Pegasus faucets.

I am looking at the gooseneck style with pull-down sprayer and integral side lever in stainless or brushed nickel. I want a more traditional looking style--not too sleek and modern looking. Even if yours is not the style I'm looking for, I'd appreciate at feedback about the quality or even customer service, warrenty support, etc. of these manufacturers.

Kraus Stainless installed almost 3 weeks. Works like a charm. I was afraid it would be too big bu fits in well. Massive faucet in terms of weight. I am impressed by the fit and finish on the Kraus.

I have not read a lot of good things about Pegasus. I think this may be a Home Depot brand.

We have the Kraus faucet KPF-1602, which is the "pre-rinse" style or "professional" style faucet. It's not the style you are looking for, but you said you wanted opinions on the brand nevertheless. We love it! Initially we looked at this pre-rinse/professional style of faucet by Franke, KWC, Hansgrohe, etc., and they were all in the neighborhood of $1000+. We couldn't believe the price of the Kraus by comparison, but decided to take a chance.

We have now had the Kraus faucet in place for 5 months, and it has performed beautifully. It arrived packed very well, including a flannel cover, and weighed a lot; a very solid faucet. In fact, we actually like it better than the high-end brands we saw in the showrooms. Lots of water pressure, and its appearance has wow factor. The only negative I can think of is that the installation instructions were very poorly written, and the parts diagram was confusing. Yet, DH and I installed it ourselves, and figured it out. I think the installation took us 45 minutes, and that is with the confusing instructions and we are non-plumbers. A plumber should have no problem.

I'll link the site we bought ours, which has a 5% off deal which made it the least expensive site we found for Kraus. I know Overstock sells the Kraus faucets too.

Mary04 - in response to your post, as Brickeyee and I wrote above, we believe it is preferable to get a lower gauge. Others may have a different opinion. But I am unclear why you say you had trouble finding a lower-gauge sink to fit in a 30" cabinet. You didn't say whether you were looking for a double bowl or a single bowl. But in just a 2-minute search, I found 16-gauge stainless sinks that fit in a 30" cabinet. There is the Kraus KHU100-30 single-bowl sink, which by previous reports on this forum, is a beautiful sink, price includes grid and strainer, and it has an offset drain which is nice to have (my link below has 41 great reviews). Also, Ticor offers 4 variations of double-bowl sinks that fit in a 30" cabinet. As an aside, I don't know if you are looking at a single or double bowl version, but if I am looking for a sink to fit in a 30" cabinet, I would choose a single bowl sink, so that you have a bowl big enough to set down a roasting pan or cookie sheet. Thank you for your understanding, funkycamper. Yes, my first (and last!) kitchen remodel. Several years ago, I had to replace my bathroom pedestal sink due to a crack in the basin. Just that process alone: Pedestal or vanity? How many holes for the faucet? faucet finish? faucet style? Finding a new plumber? All that was pretty overwhelming - just for a bathroom sink. Interesting idea about the basement. There is a sink down there. I don't think it would work, but using it some makes sense. It's an unfinished basement, and contractors will be down there a lot for a while, anyway to move water/gas lines, etc. Plus, well, the 400 sf down there includes kitty litter boxes, washer drier, hot water heater, furnace & ductwork... Maybe the microwave on a table. Outside would be nice... the garden door is & will be right in the middle of the kitchen, so, well, I don't know. You know, I feel like I'm being really a brat when I come on here for advice, and 99% of the time I get back on and say "no, your free and generous advice isn't useful to me and it won't work." I actually do really, really, really appreciate it, though. And already I'm going to have soooo much better of a kitchen due to you all here.

Ilovered & night owl... we recently installed our Kraus apron sink, and also decided to flush mount it. To me, there were three functional advantages... 1) Front and back of sink are at same level, allowing use of a spanning cutting board, colander or drying rack. 2) Edges of counter are protected. A lot of people complain about chipping of the counter edge with an undermount sink. 3) We're tall, and this raises the sink bottom up by the thickness of the counter. So it's about an inch and a half less of a reach down into the deep sink.

Pegasus isn't a brand.

Its a name that Home Depot puts on products made by several manufacturers. They might be good... or not.

Anyone have a Kraus, Pegasus, or Vigo Faucet? Feedback requested.
