I'm very sorry for your loss. That said, Let's move on to your immeidate concern. The healing process takes time; It can not, nor should it, be rushed. Do not be surprised if the grieving period last up to a year or more, before the hurt begins to dull. The expression, "Put if behind me" has no value here because this event is never 'behind you'; It is always up front and in your face. How could you forget such a gut wrenching event? What you have to do is to take it one step at a time, live one day at a time. Do what you must today and then wait for tomorrow to face tomorow's chores. This is something that can not be 'put behind you' by some magical process, in one giant leap. It is deep in your inner core. Don't force it. Let time work its healing. Our prayers go with you.

nycefarm I have a little bird dog puppy, I took her to the vet and one of the vets in the practice (who I never liked) was coming towards me and pup, so I quickly tightened the lease and said don't bite! The guy jumped about 10 feet and plastered himself against the wall... As if this little sweet dog could ever be vicious. Funniest thing ever! Sorry, not a pitbull story, but just goes to show you not all fear is reasonable. As if this little sweet dog could ever be vicious. A small size does not mean a dog is sweet. Because a dog is cute does not make it sweet. Funniest thing ever! Gangbangers on street corners holding the leashes of spike collared growly dogs think the discomfort of passersby is funny too. Does the fact that your dog in your judgment might not actually harm someone else make the vet's apprehension acceptable? People sometimes make these same sorts of judgment errors when meeting an unknown-to-them person for the first time, assuming that person is harmless because of the way he/she appears. You can't always judge a book by its cover. We need to fight fear the smart way and being derisive of the fearful not the smartest way to fight it I agree.

Dutchess is beautiful do. Don't give up on her. 12 is young for a Yorkie. Look up vestibular disease. That could be part of her problem. Dogs will eventually get better with it. My dog did. Walking around in circles and bumping into walls is due to blindness. So is going in the opposite direction when you call because your voice is bouncing off the walls and that is the direction that she is picking it up from. Look up seizures and magnesium. My dog used to get mild seizures and terrible leg and body shakes. Magnesium and potassium eliminated those problems. Stick animals (and people) need a lot of extra nutrition. Vitamins and minerals will always be of benefit. Start researching. Also take her to an animal eye care specialist. Cataract surgery may be an option.

Happy birthday to her. My niece who lives with us turned 12 the first of March. I looked at a picture of her I have on the refrigerator that was taken when she was 5. She has changed so much...Time really does fly.

I remember when my first child, Roxanne, turned 13. I couldn't believe my darling baby was already a teenager! It goes so fast! Remember that song "Turn around, turn around? Turn around and you're two, turn around and you're four, turn around, you're a young girl, going out of thge door." I'm starting to cry. . .

My baby girl turned 21 last Thursday, the 27th. Her brother will be 26 this coming Thursday, April 3rd. Here's a pic of my baby girl, she's a junior in college and in on their website right now. I hope the link works, it's www.ship.edu the big pic you should see when the page comes up should have 3 kids on it with the word LEADERSHIP below their faces. If it doesn't keep hitting refresh til the leadership pic comes up. My daughter is the girl on the right as you look at your monitor. I have to say, at the risk of being and sounding biased, she's georgeous. 5'10' (sure as heck didn't get that from me!)
