Update on my Kidney Transplant

Saw the doctor last week, the surgeon took out the "stent" that had been placed to keep the ureter from healing "closed".Procedure took about 5 minutes, no anesthesia, so it was uncomfortable but not painful. He and the Head Nurse said I'm healing well. All I know is the incision in my skin is completely closed, tho I do get a twinge of pain in my abdomen if I bend. My blood tests are pretty good, "creatinine" (level of poisons in my blood) is good, but my calcium, cholesterol and potassium are all high. I was advised to avoid a lot of cheese and dairy products, and stay away from grapefruits. Also added a statin medication , Zocor, to help with cholesterol. Hey, after the surgery they told me everything was good, I could eat a normal diet. Well, I'm happy I don't have to go to Dialysis anymore,I only need to see the doctor every two weeks, and I'm feeling stronger every day. Just checking in.
