Comments (3)Avoid any kind of wood. Infinity All Ultrex would is a good choice with a bullnosed stone stool and perimeter trim well sealed to the window frame. Avoid silicone if it will be in a poorly drained surface. Allow all surfaces to drain quickly if possible, put an exhaust fan close by, don't block air movement between the fan and the window face. Install the window as high and as far from a shower head as possible. Provide a grab bar under or near the window if possible....See MoreHow can I put a bathtub in a narrow bathroom?
Comments (6)I just remodeled my 65X76 inch 1/2 bath into a full bathroom and every square inch was utilized. I'm sure others here will have better ideas, but you could follow a galley layout, with a 60X28" narrow bath with small, 24"-width shallow vanity (I went with this one, that still offers storage and a traditional look, with a super shallow depth of 11.5 inches for the console and under 19" for the sink basin). Then, put in a pocket door to a separate water closet for just your toilet. You'd still have almost 50" of space to work with in the WC. Here is another option, of a 'galley' style layout you could model. You will have less width in the 'walkway' but I think it's doable. Not sure about code, you'd have to check with your contractor....See MoreRental Bathroom with beige toilet/tub/sink
Comments (26)You know, some people are renters for a long, long time. I own rentals and am delighted when a renter proposes to improve the place and happy to pay for some of the materials and/or work. At least it shows that they care about their home and don't destroy it. Also, I don't know where you are, but in some areas, buying is pretty much out of the question. Back to the topic, I even think if you use a color that is not white, pastel or gray, preferably a dark color, the beige may not even be noticeable. Comments (11)Thanks for the ideas. I never thought of painting the cabinet a black for contrast. I will look into how to do that. I will definitely be changing out the window treatments. This was decorated in the mid '90's and is so very past due for the updates. What shade of white would work with the pearl/almond color tub? Or should I stick with more color? Unrelated to decorating...is it possible to actually respond to individual posts? I see where you can say thank you or click like but didn't see where you can respond to each post....See Moreles917
