Interesting video Brandon. But I think it has some flaws. My opinions come from pure anedotal, personal experience. Firstly, I have felled many trees -zone 4,5,6, if that matters, and can tell you that I have been soaked- boots and pants, from water/sap gushing up, by the gallons, while in the process of cutting through the trunks of many poplars and willows, and to a lesser degree, maple- red , silver and sugar, elm... The point is, the water/sap was being pushed out from the roots, not sucked up, as evidenced by the water/sap pouring from the cut stump . Definitley a pressurized system of some description. Secondly , if there are no 'valves' in the tree system why doesn't the sap/water release from the top portion of the cut tree? There's 10's, 100's, sometimes 1000's of gallons in the above cut portion of the tree. Food for thought....biology not my forte.

I found it to be a huge time-waster for me personally, although I know many people for whom it just works. I was just talking to a friend last night who said she enjoys being able to keep up with her kids via Facebook, and I can totally understand that. I also enjoyed reconnecting with some folks from the past, but I can honestly say that out of the 249 friends I had "amassed", I really only cared to keep in touch with a handful of them with any regularity. I let those few know I was "leaving the pack", but made sure we exchanged email addresses so we can stay in touch. I doubt the rest even realize I'm not on Facebook anymore. Totally agree with you about not caring where everyone is, every moment of the day. Mary Smith just 'dropped the kids off at the pool'. (OK, so I don't know anybody who actually posted that, but some folks did come pretty darn close. Way, way, way TMI.) ;-)

I loved the antique carriage!

Here are the photos. I had no idea what Rosetta was until I noticed this one rose growing strangely. I looked it up and found it as Rosetta. The whole thing had strange growth and there were big bright red stalks growing. So, I took it back to an unnamed nursery and they gave me a replacement. I thought the problem was over, but then later I had gone to Regan thinking I would get some roses at the going out of business sale. I bought four roses and now two of them are showing signs of Rosetta. The other two I am watching very carefully. I can not even say if somehow the first rose did make the other two sick, but the over lap between the two events was no more then two days. In other words if the Regan Roses got it from my inflected rose, they got it in just two days.
