I was certainly shocked by the events. I admire Jason for being honest with his feelings but I also applaude Melissa for controling her anger. I loved it when she said "your such a *&$@(%$ (can't use the word here) and "don't call me" at the end.

It will be interesting to see if him and Molly last.

What Jason did made me very angry. I think out of respect for Melissa he should have dealt with it one on one and not in front of millions of people. The "After the Rose" ceremony could have still taken place with Jason telling the viewers that they were no longer a couple, no need to bring her on and humiliate her. He should have thought more about HER feelings and not his. Maybe it was in thier contracts to appear no matter what, but still...

I lost alot of respect for Jason last night.

I can't fault the guy for going with his heart. If he wasn't feeling it for Melissa, then so be it, but to humiliate her on camera like that is inexcusable.

according to breakfast tv this a.m.,you's are in for yet another whopper of a surprise tonite!

From the questions Chris asked Molly I got the impression that she already knew about the breakup. I also have a feeling that they've already been seeing each other and the whole thing last night, except for Melissa's reaction, was staged.

Let's see what tonight's show will reveal.

When Chris was questioning Jason alone, before Melissa came out, Jason stated that he felt the chemistry changing during the time they spent together, between the end of filming and the t.v. broadcast. He also said he had discussed his changing feelings with her, so it couldn't have been any surpise to her that he wanted to end the relationship.

But I'm sure the network made them promise to not leak out anything about their impending 'break up' since the public didn't even know he had chosen her yet. And of course the producers would want to milk it for more air time, and probably told the two not to have any more phone conversations so the break up would come off as spontaneous for the 'after the rose' broadcast, rather than something that had been evolving between them privately.

It made Jason look like a total cad, which I don't believe he is, but rather a very confused man who should not be making any big decisions right away regarding his marital status. I hope there is no proposal to Molly tonight, because I really think if he was so sure Melissa was right for him, he should be darn sure his feelings will last before making such a commitment again.

Anyone think there's a pregnancy somewhere? What could the surprise be??

I think he will probably drop Molly and wind up with Deona tonight. This is the most unusual program they have had so far, can't wait to see what happens tonight.

Maybe we'll find out that he's going back to his first wife!

I didn't realize there was another installment tonight. I'm at work, so I'm counting on you reporters to post all the details.

I personally think that Melissa will end up to be the winner here. She got rid of the jerk before things went any farther!

Jason should be totally ashamed of what he did to Melissa on national televsion. I really thought he was a kind, caring person. I felt so bad for him after Deanna. I lost every ounce of respect that I had for him as a single dad. And the tears that supposedly fell for Melissa -- seemed pretty fake to me.

But I am also outraged at ABC, that they thought so little of Melissa, a human being with feelings, to do that to her. This was not a suprise to them at all since there was not an audience for the show. I for one will not be watching the Bachelor or the Bachelorette in seasons to come and I plan to write to the network and express my feelings. I know that they can and will get by without my television being tuned to their show. But they are my feelings and I freely choose not to watch in the future.

sunflower mom, what hurts them more is that you deny any of the sponsors your business. that's what hurts more than your viewership to the program.

this was the first time i ever watched this show and was a little put off by all the antics. also, i hope they were all dosed with penicillen. alot of spit swapping and God knows what else. talk about dignity and self respect...no one seemed to care about their own.

as to falling in love? more like infatuation than love. what do any of them really know of each other outside the contained show?

did he go with his mom's suggestion that molly had a career and melissa would be more of a mom? he annoyed me when he and his mom were sitting on the ground and then when they stood up, he never offered his hand to help her.

i only caught bits and pieces of what was happening at the last show as there were too many real life events happening here, but caught enough to know what he did. now i see there was supposed to be another show with him making yet another decision? can anyone share that information? thanks.

Maryanne...I saw that he didn't offer his hand to his Mom too. Found that odd.

Jason breaks it off with Melissa. He confesses that his heart belongs to Molly. I found it odd that he breaks it off with Molly and the limo driver...or someone...wasn't there to get the door to the limo for her. She had every right to be angry, however I would want to know sooner than later. Her heart will mend. I don't know if Molly and Jason will make it. It will be hard to play second fiddle to Ty. I don't think Molly had a clue what was going to transpire when she was brought on stage. I would be willing to bet that it is in the contract somewhere, that they were to bring as much drama to the show as possible. Hence, breaking up with Melissa on the air.

And Jillian...who I think was the one for him, will be the Bachelorette. I will watch...maybe. This last show was the first one I had watched in years.

I didn't watch it but I read all about it in my morning newspaper . When will we (the viewers) get tired of watching these stupid contrived so-called reality shows? I am sick of Survivor, American Idol, the Bachelor and all the other reality shows. The only thing I watch is news (CNN or MSNBC) and old shows (TVLand and Turner Classic Movies). Anyone want to join me?
