We've got flurries here in/on Long Island. But it's supposed to be 40 degrees today and 50 on the weekend.

We have sun here finally! We are also supposed to be in the 50's this weekend. I am so very tired of winter this year. I normally love it but I am getting arthritis in my neck and thumb and it just hurts in the colder weather!

The sun is coming out here in central Indiana, makes you think spring is coming. Still no sign of any crocus! Does anyone else have any thing blooming?

You can say THAT again, mims! I guess you just have to count your blessings about the hail, huh? I was awfully glad we missed that part of this storm. I do have a lot of ws babies out already and I could just imagine them smashed into the sand by hail. YIKES! I hope it calms down up there SOON!

DD, DSIL & DGS came down to Pueblo from Denver for a wedding on Saturday. It was 70 degrees. Early Sunday they left for home, it was freezing and icy by the time they got back to Denver (less than 2 hrs away), was also cold and windy here. One day difference, that's Colorado for you.

Snow in Houston... again....

I remember when we lived in the DC suburbs of Maryland that snow could shut the place down. It all depends on how much snow removal equipment that they have invested in. Some places like Houston clearly don't have much need for any and so keep their fingers crossed rather than spend scarce public dollars. In Chicago, we were used to being able to get around during snowstorms because the plows and salting trucks were out all over and right away. They needed to invest in LOTS of snow removal equipment, and they did.

Nothing here in southwestern Ohio, either. I've only seen just the tips of the greens for daylilys starting. It is late this year. Of course we haven't even seen the grass for weeks and weeks!!!

Eastern Ohio's forecast shows nothing in the forecast for a long time. It's sunny today, the snow is doing a s-l-o-w melt which is what I wanted. 15 days till official spring.

Sunny here today. Just praying for a slow thaw-melt cycle so we are spared flooding.

No snow yet, but it has been so foggy. No sun for days, thought I was back in CA with all this fog. Not wet but oh so cold.
Very unusual.
