okay, I can put together a list of topics for the FAQ and then set them loose to build for 3 weeks in Feb. while I am in India. When I return, I should have very good info waiting for me. :) I'll work on the list and post it this weekend. FAQ is one stop shopping for basic useful info so you don't have to search the forum. Florida is a unique and tough gardening environment and good information can make the difference for a new Florida gardener. I know it would have for me. I tried my first veggie garden in May!

you might try downloading IE8 again and reinstall it over the one that you have it may fix any corrupted files. Have you tried clearing all of the cache and cookies and history on your IE that may help also. here is the download link for IE8 Internet Explorer 8 you really need a good working Ie since you need it to get windows updates since you are on xp still. Firefox is very easy to use and as mentioned you can add many add ons that help with various things. One I always use is the ad block plus with easylist to stop all the annoying ads on these pages. Feel free to ask for help with learning a new browser.

I ran into a problem after installing and using firefox for a few days. I was not able to open some videos. It would tell me I needed to update my Adobe Flash Player but when I'd try and do just that I'd get it started to install and it would tell me there was a conflict with Mozilla. So, I'd try using my IE to install the update the Adobe Flash Player and it would tell me that there was a conflict with IE. I came across a few more issues too so finally had to uninstall Firefox. I was very sorry to have to since it had eliminated the ads and popups on various sites I frequent. :( I did have to use IE for some of my stops but here or the news site I use, the adblocker plus was a real treat. Don't know what went wrong maybe someone would know. Also, I noticed yesterday evening, even after uninstalling firefox that the ads were still and not very many of them. Not so today, they are in full force like they were before I installed firefox. I'm so confused.

Funny-I was just noticing that these blasted things weren't popping up today! Good news. Incidentally, I mentioned having the issue here at work running Chrome, and not having the issue at home on my Mac. Thing is, I run Chrome at home too. I can't control what does or does not get installed here at work-part of a large network with IT people, etc. So the fact GW is dealing with it is best case for me. +oM
