Comments (6)I love love love your use of color and patterns. Before it was nice, yet relatively nondescript and now it demands attention. For that wall, I think the fabric on that chair looks nice, the color is great with the walls and the rug. The bookself appears to have too small of a scale. I like the style of the MCM console, do you think you can find something in a similar style?...See MoreMuddling with Mudroom Design/Decor
Comments (26)lishaana - Beautiful space, and I love the built-ins! Your cabinetry is actually very similar to ours, and I like how it is just part of the house. Our wall space is shorter than yours, but I'm sure something could still be done with it. I just thought it would be prohibitively expensive. Are those drawers or tilt-outs on the bottom? aunttomichael - Sawdust City ships very reasonably, and that's an important consideration too. They make a bench that looks a lot like the PB bench with storage underneath. bronwynsmom - I think I'm interested in the rugs for their decorative purposes too. I don't want high-maintenance though. oakleyok - I like the dark cushion too, with the white bench. Without having custom made, I'm wondering if the whites would look close but not close enough or something. Jan...See MoreMore Outdoor decor
Comments (29)Mtn, I have throw blankets in our screen porches both at home and at the beach. I don't think there are "outdoor" ones, but I just buy inexpensive cotton ones and throw them in the washer/dryer every so often. They seem to be just fine on the porch in general. Home Goods seems to always have a selection of cotton throws...maybe Overstock, too. We have some down comforter-type throws from Lands End that get used on the porch at the beach house too, when we're trying to stretch the season! We keep a stack of various throws folded in a stack in the laundry room for people to grab as needed. I also like option 2 of your pillows above especially if you want to "tone down' the overall look. Oh, I think D&A also has cotton throw blankets!...See MoreCan you resize and indoor/outdoor runner?
Comments (2)A broadloom store will cut and bind for you...actually I've seen an ad on my local Craigslist by someone who does it, too... You could look at Flor tiles also (I just commented on another post by someone looking for a specific size). I've never used them myself, but people seem to like them...They are about 18 square I think......See Moresparklebread
