BM Pittsfield Buff too yellow! Need paint help

My house is mostly Believable Buff, which is a lovely warm creamy shade. I wanted the powder room and master bed/bath to be slightly deeper but in the same color family. I thought Pittsfield Buff was a warm beige but in my sunny bedroom it is mustard yellow. I need to pull more creamy light beige or tan that will complement the travertine and carpet. Any ideas? Maybe Ladyfinger?

I meant to say that my main house color is BM's "Barely Beige" not "Believable Buff"! I've been in paint mode too long! Anyway, I love the BB and want something similar but a tiny bit darker?

Post us some pics and it may help with getting some suggestions. Did you try looking at the paint card that the Barely Beige is on? Maybe a darker shade on the same card ?

Just about anything goes with Pittsfield Buff - it's a lovely color. That said, your tile is definitely more taupe than yellow gold, so I'd steer clear of using a taupey color with pink undertones - I think that would look nice with the tile, but maybe not with the Pittsfield Buff. I think I'd look at maybe the Grey Wisp from BM(match to RH Silver Sage). Also maybe SW Contented - Sea Salt, Rainwashed? I like these colors with white and dark cabinets, taupey tile.

Parma, I just spent months waffling on my main color choice for our new build. Many sample pots later, I put 5 colors up on the walls of the new house: Ivoire, Blonde, Wilmington Tan, Pittsfield Buff, and Shelburne Buff. Blonde was the first to be crossed off the list- it was too orange just like you said. Pittsfield Buff kept reading green to me when it was up next to the other colors in the group, so mentally I crossed that one off the list. My DH really liked Ivoire and so that's what I ordered. But at the very last minute I decided to go over and paint a whole wall with the Pittsfield, and lo and behold- I fell in love! It does not read green one bit now that it's throughout the house, and the funny thing is that when it's saturated with sunlight, it doesn't seem to wash out but instead turns more golden. If I get time tomorrow, I'll go over and get some pics to post of all the colors. I can't believe I haven't taken pics already, but I've been busy with nursing school. Waiting for spring break because the house should be ready for move-in by then! ~Michelle

Hm, good point, although I was wanting to paint before the floor went in. I'll have to think about that. Probably easier to find a paint to go with a rug rather the other way. Thanks

I have Barely Beige in my family room paired with an accent wall of SW Toasty, and I'm very happy with the combination. However, I have SW tobacco road in the kitchen, and it does not look good up against the barely beige, so I know what you are going through. I wish I had a suggestion for you! The color under the BB on the strip has a pinkish cast in my room, so that was not an option for me. Something I have looked at SW Ivorie, and even though it's a much lighter color than the tobacco road, it seems to blend better. I'm holding off though until I have more time to test colors...I hope you'll post if you come up with a solution!

Try SW Kilim Beige or Nomadic Desert. Nomadic Desert is a tad darker than Kilim Beige but it looks beautiful with travertine. These two are on the same paint strip and are perfect beige neutrals. The Kilim is a tad warmer than Nomadic Desert, but I have Kilim Beige in three rooms in my house and it's a color that goes with everything.

Also, with a lot of light it will be perfect. What color is your trim? I have stained trim and have used both, but I do love it with white trim too.

WHAT IS THE DARK BROWN COLOR IN THE BACKGROUND. WHAT IS THE FOYER COLOR AND TRIM. I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS INMY HOME. THANK YOU.
