Good morning!

Morning KT! I'm up and staying up, kids just got on the bus. I usually go back to sleep for a little bit on my days off but I have an appointment in Lexington this morning. I'm thinking about checking out a health food grocery store I've been hearing about while I'm there.

Time to go make some coffee and breakfast. I've got a busy week this week. I'm off for just two days, but have appointments both days is different cities. Then I have to work 4 12 hour shifts in a row. 3 is pretty rough, 4 is horrible. I don't know why we are being scheduled like that, but talking to the manager hasn't done any good.

What are your plans for the week? It's warming up here, thank goodness. I'm so ready for Spring!

    Morning Kath

It's warming up pretty good here too. :) Yesterday on our way home we saw some people with a bucket truck trimming ice damaged trees. Stopped and asked if they had time to look at ours, and maybe trim them.

Well, they did, and the trees are trimmed. That awful splintered and broken look is gone. Now it depends on how well they green up, and eventually fill back out.

Today I have to pick up the stuff in my yard and toss it over the fence, as the BIG trucks picking up limbs are coming around one more time.

Later I plan to drive to Pryor to the fabric store with a friend of mine. She is looking for fabric to cover her "new to her" dinning room chairs.

We will stop at the Amish Cheese store on our way home. YUM!

    Have a GREAT day off.

    Hi Kathy,
I'm just checking in for a couple minutes before heading across the road to the greenhouse.
    Enjoy your day off.

Hey Moni, can I come with ya? I'll buy the treats!
What am I doing today - my favorite outdoor activity - shoveling snow!!!! I'm going really squirrelly along with many other folk gazing out my window at THAT snowbank. I know there's activity out there beyond it, I can hear the cars, see the odd squirrel run along the window ledge but that's it! I think a bus ride is in order, a day of exploration.
Woke up at the ridiculous hour of 3:30 am, found out Ed was up early too!

We had a reminder to check all house vents for gas, laundry etc. on the news to make sure they are clear. My furnace vents on the roof and is clear and the laundry is the same. Wanted to go out the patio door but I can't - 4 feet of snow has piled up against it...and it WAS CLEAR last Thursday....mmmph! Anyone got snowshoes? I used to own muckluks(?) years ago. With the gas prices rising, thinking of getting a horse but I don't think the city by-law would allow it. Would be much cheaper than the car!
So, it's an adventure day for me. Have a couple of places in mind. Going to purchase a day pass for the bus to day and just get the heck outta here! Snow or no snow!

I'm working from home today, which is a treat! Temp is supposed to be in the mid 70's, so I'm thinking for this afternoon's conference call I'll take the laptop out on the deck and enjoy the fresh air. Ahhhhhhh. That way everyone on the call with me will hear all the birds chirping and be jealous.

Other than that, I'm not doing much of anything today!

I've had my 7 y o the last 2 days b/c she's on spring break, but they just left for San Antonio for a few days, so I'm foot loose and fancy free. Two friends are picking me up in about a hour and we're going to run around some and go to lunch. One of them wants to go to a movie, but I'm not sure which one. I adore my buddies and would be so sad w/o them! The weather's beautiful here--nice and sunny and supposed to be in the 70s. Hope ya'll have a good day!

Well...Today is Main Man's B'day! He is 67! Ouch! I'm gonna give him a haircut, facial and neck rub. I bought him a new pair of Docker pleated Denims. His are all so faded and that is the only Jean he wears. I wish I could throw those ugly Wal-Mart Velcro Shoes in the trash and get him something else to Walk in. LOL! One of his friends said "I didn't know they still had Velcro Shoes". Even his "old f@rt" friends thinks they are ugly shoes.

Pawle the Pug is under house arrest. She is on a ridged discipline program. (I've got to clean the smelling accident area.)

We are planning to take a Country Drive to our favorite Restaurant in a little town North of here. The flowers are in bloom and it should be a pretty drive. It is sunny and clear, so we may take the top off of the Corvette. We can always turn on the heater if it gets to chilly.

I made it home, didn't go to the Health food store, though, couldn't find the street. Someone forgot to get the directions before they left, so then drove around trying to remember how to get to that area. Finally gave up and came home.

Had an appointment with a financial planner, going to cash out the kids savings bonds and put into other accounts. I want the kids involved so I'm taking them back, let them write the check for their own accounts, etc... I don't want them ending up like me and their father, not knowing anything about money.

I had to fill up my gas tank, got it for $3.15 a gallon, that 10% off with my Kroger card, though. I also got milk for $2.50 a gallon. They usually put either the half gallons or gallons on sale almost every week, so I quit buying my milk anywhere else.

Sounds like most of you are pretty busy.

Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!! I want some heat! I want the snow to go! Waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!

Did get out for my bus ride and now going to post letters. Hey, it's sunny out this afternoon and the birds (I can't see them) are singing like crazy...going for a walk to take in more of this sun.
