Many of our robins now stay all winter. I'm in the Philadelphia area and it's still a rather odd sight to see 10 robins in your yard in mid January and I do worry about them when we have a heavy snow. This year they lucked out because we've only had about 4 inches. Two years ago we had a record 80". Apparently when the ground is frozen or covered with snow they eat berries, fruits, and seeds they find on shrubs and trees.

The newspaper wrote about overwintering robins last year and said that the robin population is increasing in North America and our winters are milder so many stay in our area.

We have had them here in Northern In. for a couple of weeks.

There were about 30 robins in the trees in my back garden 2 days ago.

Have not seen a robin in Long Island NY yet. I see lots of squirrels, seems they didn't hibernate this year. It's been extremely mild for winter. No snow since mid-January.

Robins have been here since the middle of February. Early for us too even in this mild climate. My first humming bird appeared Feb. 28th. Early for hummers also. Weird.

Chipmunks hibernate but tree squirrels don't although they may stay in their nests for days when the weather is bad. Then they spend the rest of their time teasing my dog through the window.

My robins are here and the chipmunks are out and about.

We have lots and lots of robins here in Ga. Taigen, I bet your blue spruce is lovely, I've always wanted one. I don't think they grow very well here though

My yard was full of them yesterday, and cardinals. So nice to see them!

Here is So. Washington we have them year round. I have a big holly bush outside my window and I see then there all the time. Our weather is mild enough for them.

I did see one a few days ago...we (I) don't see much for Robins even in the spring here...Wonder why?

Lots of Blue birds, Cardinals etc.

It certainly seems to be an odd winter and spring this year. I am interested to see what summer brings.
Blue spruce are lovely, the birds seem to be nesting low so I am really hoping I will get to watch this spring.
We have had the squirrels, blue jays, cardinals etc., even morning doves!

We always have robins all year round here, but they are starting to separate from their flocks now and seek their nesting sites. The robin squabbles have commenced!

I haven't seen a Robin yet this year which is unusual.

The robins came through the Florida panhandle two weeks ago and have now moved on. We've had a rather warm winter here.
