Let Me Take You To The New World (pix heavy!)

I was invited to the grand opening ceremony of The New World Mall in Flushing Queens.

TNWM is a huge, HUUUUUGE! shopping mall for all sorts of Asian and Chinese foods and ingredients.

All kinds of meats, rabbits, ducks, quails, squabs, silkies, free range chickens

All kinds of live fish in tanks

All kinds of exotic fruits and vegetables

Endless aisles of dried goods, sauces, grains, seasonings, noodles.

Great variety of quick eats in the food court, from pizza to sushi. (Check out Lobster, salad, and fried rice lunch for $11.00)

Street was closed, confetti paved the street, fireworks, lion dance, dragon dance --- politicians and a few thousand people showed up.

Prices are very good for everything because of high volume. Razor clams were $4.50 a lb, comparing to Eataly's $8.99 a lb.

Check it out if you are in NYC.

Pictures in random order, sorry.
