Squidy...sorry that no one has responded yet...you know how the holidays can be!! To me, it looks like a fungal problem...but, there are so many, many variables. If it was my plant...and it is NOT H. tsangii...I would buy a fungicide from one of the big "box stores" and spray the plant thoroughly...top and bottom of each leaf..and the vines, and keep out of bright sunlight for a day or two. It's perfect that you removed the "bad" leaves..the fungicide would have never "cured" these leaves...if, indeed, it's a fungal attack. Please be sure that you're not over-watering this plant...fungus tends to occur when the plants are kept too moist or in very high humidity. Best wishes, Patrick

Last week I thought I was coming down with a cold or the flu. I started taking Vit C crystals in orange juice. The bug never really took hold and I was able to keep doing what I normally do. Felt a little run down, but I really feel it helped. You can't really take too much. The way to tell if you are overdoing it is if you experience diarrhea. Then you just cut back the amount you are using until your stool normalizes. I first read about it while researching polio. There was a doctor who used it Vit C to cure polio cases in the 50's before the polio vaccine became popular. Dr. Klenner said that very high doses were necessary to combat infection and that Vit C works against most virus's. It might help Epstein barre? I also have read that it is useful to take equally large amounts of Vit D. 1000 units/20lbs of body weight along with it. I'm not a doctor, so please take this for what it is worth! Kat, Hubby got to go to that game...and a few guys from his work came too...(since they live or work in Bothell).. One or both of the younger two had a LL game..hence why I didn't get to go.. I'll remember to come "tell you" if he gets that rotation again. For the few days before that game that he knew he was starting...he kept muttering "I'm gonna pitch on the same mound Felix has pitched on"...LOL He ended up going about 6 innings...but threw ALOT of pitches...over 80..I was a little peeved about that! He ended up pitching over 80 again only a few days later...and then couldn't barely throw a ball for 3 weeks! I was really peeved after the second game!!! oh and then about a week later the catcher got cleated across the hand..and had to come out..Kian went in and was told not to make the throw to second...Yeah like that's gonna happen...He ended up having to "make the throw" twice...and he was dead on..but it was VERY painful! I'm going to have a "little" talk with the new coach.. Those pitching situations are NOT to happen again! They had their preseason meeting for Baseball..one of the "slots" was what position do you play..Kian wrote "all"..the new coach pulled him aside at a work out and said..what do you mean all...Kian said I can play all the spots (doesn't happen to much that kids can do that) He's not that great at 2nd because he's got a hell of an arm..and easily over throws..and he doesn't like to "chase" stuff down in outfield...so the Coach says..okay if I was going to pay you to play what position would it be..Pitcher was Kees reply...Okay good...that's what I wanted to hear...But likely he'll play 1st when not pitching, because our 1st baseman is out this year, he dislocated his shoulder AGAIN. But he's a great catcher too.

Thanks, suzie, he is 11. I don't think it's life-threatening or anything, it has just left him sort of tired and run-down. The good thing is, he is a kid and has more free time than us to rest and recover.
