treeskate, I've been making several containers of that size. This year I'm using 1x10 pine boards and 2x2s. I get the cheapest pine boards they sell at Menards. For a 3' long box you can get 6' 1x10 boards and cut them in half. 1x10s are really 9" 1/4 wide so use 2 per side. Screw them into a 2x2 and then screw the sides in to make a box. For the bottom I use an old piece of 3/4" plywood that I have laying around. Screw the bottom into the box and drill holes for drainage and you have a planter. Paint it inside and out with a porch and floor oil based paint and it will last. That Glidden stuff Home Depot sells is really good and they have various colors. I would estimate for your project you'd need (using prices at my Menards here in Chicago). 2 6' 1x10s for front/back $9 1 6' 1x10 for sides $4.50 3'x 1.5' 3/4" plywood ~$5.00 (you can scrounge for this) 1/3 gal oil paint $7 ($20/gal) screws ~$2 1 8' 2x2 $2 So total cost is between $25 and $30 If you dumpster dive you can sometimes find 3' scraps of pine for free! :-) Click on the link below to see 2 of the new boxes I built using pine. Hi all; it has been a while since i posted last.All the plants are doing well and have to freeze the the ones i can not eat fresh. Since all who read this forum use computers i have been using windows 7. It is so much faster than my xp computer it is almost like changing chanels on a tv surfing the web. ps do not buy a computer with pre-loaded software as if have a problem you do you will have a very hard time, trying to reinstall all the programs with out the original CD's My advice if you are considering an upgrade would be to buy your componets from newegg as they seem to have good prices and buy the best you can afford as computer hardware will be old in 2 years time. My recomendation to you that have the know how, or find a computer geek is to build a system for you. Windows 7 can be down loaded from microsoft rather than put your xp or vista computer at risk i bought a kvm switch that allows me to switch between my xp system computer and my windows 7 computer

Wow, you have found the most beautiful fabrics in existence in those colors. This is what I would do: 1) Pick one of the fabrics that somehow brings in the color of your beautiful floor (along with the blues and yellows) 2) Put that fabric on the back of the banquette. 3) Put a solid colored vinyl / leather on the banquette bottom (this is what I did on my banquette - fabric on back, solid leather look vinyl on the bottom.) That way, people can slide around on it easier, it won't grab your dress / skirt bottom like fabric will when you slide, and clean ups are a breeze. Stuff tends to drop horizontally... This is mine from > 10 years ago. I'm very glad I put vinyl on the bottom because any fabric would have long since worn out. The Raymond Waites fabric along the back has held up fine. You might need to turn up the brightness on your monitor for this one. But I like the darker picture because it includes the stagecoach blinds at the top behind the light. I was trying for a Texas country look. The only disaster has been to the table finish. Someone left a frozen turkey in a grocery bag on top of the table for maybe an hour. Now there are a spiderweb of hairline cracks inside the finish radiating out from where Mr. Tom the Turkey rested.. It's still the favorite hang out place in the house.

linelle - Painting the DW was pretty painless. DH removed the door panel, which also has the sides on it on my KA model, and I took it out back and scrubbed it with soapy water, rinsed well and let dry. Then, I lightly scuffed with fine grit sandpaper like 180 or 220 and wiped down with a dry, lint free cloth. Sprayed first coat and let dry, then sprayed second coat and let dry. DH put the panel back on and you can see the result below. As I said though, I want to try and see if I can paint the plastic part at the top with that Krylon paint that fuses with plastic so it won't wear off. The door latch is in that part (obviously) and gets touched a lot so I want something that will last. The appliance epoxy I used was a Rustoleum product. It looks so much better painted than the white is used to be, but not nearly as nice as an actual SS DW will when I can afford it. I'm planning to paint my fridge also with the same paint at some point as it is all white too. Much bigger job than just the DW door panel, however. Before: After with partial backsplash install.
