You're not alone. Try not to beat yourself up about it. I would guess most people make mistakes or have some regrets. For the house we're building, I bought a lot of materials in advance trying to scope out closeouts and such but not always thinking through how all of the materials would coordinate with each other. I also made the mistake of buying some very well priced tiles online that I didn't like as much in person when they arrived. I will end up eating some of it or trying to sell on Craigslist. Oh well. But honestly I think your selections look well coordinated and tasteful. I would not risk painting the cabinets nor would I change out the tiles or counters since you might end up with finishes that clash with each other unless you change out everything.

Anyone else hate their Bosch dishwasher?

Weve had issues with our new bosch dishwasher as well. First if all, the installation process is a pain-we had bought it to replace our old dishwasher which was fairly new but in order to install the bosch dishwasher, we had to have an electrician and plummer come to rewire and reroute/set up the water lines correctly for the thing to even run. Then we had issues with the power cord and had to have a technician come out and repair/fix that. I also hate how you cant control it/buttons arent accessible unless the door is open. There is inadequare space for dishes, doesnt effectively clean dishes even with high quality dish detergent, rinse aid, and meticulous placement of dishes. Lastly, its annoying how it gets stuck on auto and you have to reset the thing and rerun it just so you can switch to a different mode. I have used many different brands throughout my life-rented in my 20’s and early 30’s including whirpool and LG and never had issues.

After I got divorced I was living alone and occassionally I would invite a lady over for a home cooked meal rather than going out someplace. My problem was that although I love to cook, I didn't have a clue what the ladies might want to eat so I hit on a solution that worked great for me. First off, I planned meals that are easy to make individual portions such as stuffed baked chicken breasts, chicken cordon bleu, Steak Florentine, Stuffed baked pork chops, Fried chicken, baked fish, broiled salmon, BBQ ribs, meatloaf, my own oriental stir fried shrimp & chicken, Saur Braten, Roast beef, lamb chops and smoked turkey, along with some sides such as shrimp fried rice, rice pilaff, wild rice, my own succotash recipe, and even some twice baked potatoes. I would devote an entire day to cooking and when I cooked I made at least 8 portions of each item and sometimes cooking two or three items in the oven at once. When they were done I put them up with the Seal-a-Meal and popped the portions in my freezer, but not before I had plated at least one portion long enough to take a picture of it, before I sealed that portion too. I then sat down to my computer and made up a menu. When the ladies showed up for dinner they would ask, whats cooking? I would simply hand them a menu and say, "Pick our what you like". The first couple times I presented the menu I got some silly looks, but they were gracious enough to stay for dinner anyway, but after that first experience they all said they wanted to do it again. When they started telling other women in our social set what I did suddenly I had lots of ladies scheming a way to get an invite....LOL Now that I am with Jan, I still enjoy cooking like that, and it is so convenient to just go out to the kitchen and select what you want.

Well...my day was mosly spent running around or doing mundane chores. Then DH called and wanted to take us to dinner and a movie. Because of time constraints, we ended up having Burger King. I tried the new mushroom swiss burger-very good, however I had no fries. A burger and a diet coke LOL! After the movie-Madagascar 2 (which was very good-better than the first!)I came home and folded laundry. By then it was 10 pm. I thought about this post-felt guilty-and went and exercised on the Wii Fit for an hour. See-its motivating already.

Oh yeah. Not giving those out for Halloween. Not eating Honey Bunches of Oats, my last tormentor, either. I thought I would smack that lady who leans out of the truck and says Have YOU tried honey Bunches of Oats?

Okay - I am proof the advertising works. I remember the damn stuff. Doesn't mean I'll buy it, though.

And I'm not filling out any surveys no matter how often they ask me.

I had problems with the Musketeers ad early this week. I made some adjustments to my privacy options and haven't seen the ad since.

But ads like that only PO people and are totally ineffective.

Nope, I've never seen any of the ads, at home OR at work. I just sign in and never see a pop-up. Now I feel lucky.

Yeah, I just saw the pop-up, totally surprised me. I don't know why advertisers do this, all it does is annoy people. Makes me not want to buy any of their products.

Before I had it I was repeatedly tormented by an ad for Oreos, so I do have some idea of what you're going through.

Oh Lord, this is so funny! When that stupid ad popped up for what seemed like the 100th time today I could not help wondering if it was driving other people up the wall too or if I just have a really short fuse today. I want to throw my computer thru the window every time that stupid thing pops up. I thought about trying one the first time I saw the commercial on TV, now they could not pay me to eat one - well, maybe they could pay me, but I certainly am never going to pay them! Ugh!

No! No! No! The stupid thing came up again when I hit preview message! I am so done for today.

Really, you can control the pop-ups on any website by using the correct software. If you are still seeing pop-ups, then you are either on a controlled office computer (and you aren't working? LOL!), or you have not been listening to the advice given (time and time again) on how to control these things and rid your machine of them.
