I feel so guilty even saying this because my children bought me a beautiful looking GE Stainless steel, ceramic top stove and I absolutely despise it! How I wish I could have had either another electric coil top or my fave - a gas top. Ceramic is a joke to cook on. It takes forever to heat up or to cool down, you can't leave anything simmering because it does NOT simmer, and nothing really cooks correctly. Who cares how "lovely" it looks if you can't actually cook with it. I wish I could return it!!!!!!! I am an experienced home cook, but the ceramic glass top is enough to reduce the most experienced cook to tears because it does not really work. You cannot simmer, fry, stew, or sauté correctly without taking the pan on and off. I finally bought an electric counter top skillet which I use for frying and sautéing. I use the glass top to boil pasta water, and tea. That's about it. I use my slow cooker for stews and tomato sauce or thick soups and my electric skillet for everything else. My stove bakes perfectly so I use it for baking. BUT to think that my children paid a fortune for this stupid stove is sad and just plain WRONG.

I'm looking for more links Bowl-to-floor <= 15". We're a household of three 5ft 5in. people. We're renovating four bathrooms. Just ordered a Tushy Ottoman but we're really NOT happy that we literally cannot buy a high-quality toilet that's standard height. Here's the whole plan: 1. We're ordering the Kohler - Wellworth Classic: (14 1/2") for two of our bathrooms. 2. We have a nice Elongated Toto (17" height?!) and I'll be trying out the 7.5" Tushy Ottoman https://hellotushy.com/products/tushy-ottoman-toilet-stool with that. 3. And then... one of our bathrooms needs a corner standard-height toilet, and my current plan is to buy a separated High-tank toilet https://www.rensup.com/bathroom/high-tank-toilets and bowl separately. I may also check Etsy for toilet bowl makers. What has this world come to? What a drag. It is also annoying that everything is labeled "Right-height"... yeah, it's kind of offensive because the height change is marketed as a feature and so it's excluded from most website's filter bars! Since it's an additive-feature, you can't filter for the absence of "Right-height" or "ADA Compliant". It's like -- I feel like I've been in the specific set of meetings where someone has a brilliant, cost-savings idea of to unify on a single height. Brilliant mind (BM): "OK, get this, we can halve the number of products we have to produce that sit on the shelves!" Everyone else (EE): "Oh, how do we do it?!" BM: "We just pick one height!" EE: "*Contemplative silence* God. Yes. Brilliant... But... won't people be mad?" EE: "I mean, there are short people and kids..." BM: "No, no, no, we'll pick the accessible height and then market the change as a feature! This means we'll also get a competitive advantage over other toilet brands who aren't thinking about accessibility!" ~~~ *end scene* ~~~ My beef, TLDR: 1. Public toilets should be as accessible as possible. 2. Companies get to "win" by removing consumer choices. 3. I'm now googling for an artisan toilet bowl maker on Etsy. Good luck everyone. Anyone else hate their Bosch dishwasher?

Bosch does not stand behind it’s parts or technical assistance. My dishwasher (Ihave two of them in my kitchen) is about 3 years old when the programming panel on the door stopped working. i ordered and installed a new one from Bosch and the panel continued to say ”add salt” even though my dishwasher (800 series) doesn’t have a salt dispenser. I then had to hire a professional to come to my home and fix the unit. After a long struggle, he couldn’t fix it either, so he called Bosch and was told to replace the harness. I ordered the harness, arranged for the repair guy to come back. He installed the new harness and it still didn’t work. So he called Bosch again and this time was told to replace the control unit on the right side of the dishwasher. I again ordered the new part, the process was repeated and the dishwasher still didn’t work. Now I’m $600+ into repairs and the unit has been unusuable for 2 months. I subsequently found out that the right side control unit has nothing to do with programming, even though we were trying to fix a programming issue. Finally the repair man determined that the replacement control door unit that I had ordered from Bosch and replaced was defective. So I called Bosch told them the above and asked for a free replacement of their defective part. They made me send them all my bills, including the one for their bad part. Then they made we wait only to be told there is a one month guarantee on their electrical parts, and since the part was purchased some 2 months earlier, they would NOT send me a free replacement. They knew the one month guaranty was exceeded because of their technical people telling us to replace multiple other parts that didn’t solve the problem and they knew I had purchased two of their dishwashers at the same time, yet they refused to replace the defective replacement for the door control unit. I replaced that part a second time using another vender and my didhwasher now worksOtis. How greedy is this company given the circumstances just outlined? Your dishwasher will eventually break and you will find yourself in my situation. Can you trust this company to treat you properly? I don’t think so, and neither should you. I’ve written this to protect you, so I hope you act accordingly.

Kathsgrdn - I was going to say the same about the blue tooth thing. You really need to be on the phone so much that it has to be glued to your ear? And you look ridiculous walking around talking to yourself. It drives me crazy. The trend I really hate is how people use cell phones, as mentioned in many posts above. Yes, I've used my in public, but I try to make it short. I see people walking around a store in deep conversation. Hey, I don't want to hear your conversation. Take it outside! Once when I was in Starbucks, a women couldn't even pry the phone off her ear long enough to place her order. She instead grabbed one of the business cards on the counter, wrote down her order, and threw it at the barista. She talked the entire time, took her drink and left. The barista and cashier were floored. They couldn't believe the nerve. Don't even get me started on people using cell phones when driving. Zeetera - really, you don't like scarves other than in winter? There are some cute linen ones for the spring.

Oh yeah. Not giving those out for Halloween. Not eating Honey Bunches of Oats, my last tormentor, either. I thought I would smack that lady who leans out of the truck and says Have YOU tried honey Bunches of Oats?

Okay - I am proof the advertising works. I remember the damn stuff. Doesn't mean I'll buy it, though.

And I'm not filling out any surveys no matter how often they ask me.

I had problems with the Musketeers ad early this week. I made some adjustments to my privacy options and haven't seen the ad since.

But ads like that only PO people and are totally ineffective.

Nope, I've never seen any of the ads, at home OR at work. I just sign in and never see a pop-up. Now I feel lucky.

Yeah, I just saw the pop-up, totally surprised me. I don't know why advertisers do this, all it does is annoy people. Makes me not want to buy any of their products.

I guess I'm fortunate -- my spam blocker has spared me once again.

Before I had it I was repeatedly tormented by an ad for Oreos, so I do have some idea of what you're going through.

Oh Lord, this is so funny! When that stupid ad popped up for what seemed like the 100th time today I could not help wondering if it was driving other people up the wall too or if I just have a really short fuse today. I want to throw my computer thru the window every time that stupid thing pops up. I thought about trying one the first time I saw the commercial on TV, now they could not pay me to eat one - well, maybe they could pay me, but I certainly am never going to pay them! Ugh!

No! No! No! The stupid thing came up again when I hit preview message! I am so done for today.

Really, you can control the pop-ups on any website by using the correct software. If you are still seeing pop-ups, then you are either on a controlled office computer (and you aren't working? LOL!), or you have not been listening to the advice given (time and time again) on how to control these things and rid your machine of them.
