Half pound meatloaf

I'm experimenting with gluten free recipes. I was told that a grated potato can be substituted for bread crumbs when making a meat loaf. Has anyone ever heard of potato for crumbs? I am going to make a half pound loaf and I don't know how long to cook it in a 350 degree oven, so I am asking for advice.
