Thanks, Jasdip, for all the hard work you did while doing this thread. You can't know how much I appreciate it. I hope you'll continue adding your recipes too.

I made this the other night as a side for dinner. It turned out quite delicious. I also crumbled some saltines over it before the cheese.

BROILED PARMESAN TOMATOES

Ingredients:

⢠3 14 1/2 ounce cans whole tomatoes, drained - any variety including Italian Plum

⢠Salt and Pepper to taste

⢠1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

⢠1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Place the tomatoes in a 13 by 9-inch casserole dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste and top each with a pat of butter. Generously sprinkle the cheese over the tomatoes and broil for 10 to 15 minutes, until the tomatoes are heated through and the cheese is bubbly.

Yield: 16 servings

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10-15 minutes

Ease of preparation: easy
