Roast goose?

Hello all,

I know I am a very infrequent poster but I hope you all can help me recover some space in my freezer.

I was given a frozen goose (domestic, not wild) last Christmas. As we had other plans, I put it in the freezer where it has remained due to my terror of cooking it. I need to use it both because it has probably already been frozen longer than it should and because I need the freezer space.

I have never cooked a goose before. I assume it will be a bit greasy similar to duck? Also, I find that duck (and venison) does not reheat well, so should I plan to invite people over so we can eat the entire goose the night it's cooked? Or do you have ideas on how to use the leftovers?

Finally, of course, the main question ... how the heck to I cook this guy?

Thanks for your help!

Ann
