Thanks so much...I was freaking looking at the tannish, khaki color that the kitchen opens up too. I have reddish terra-cotta walls now. I got some suggestions on here to change that color too. So heck maybe I won't have to paint all the walls..now that would be so awesome. Boxer pups..yesterday I put up a picture and asked whose kitchen was this..and they said it came from your file. I also had my kitchen trim color computer-matched by the painters at the paint store using a piece of extra cabinet trim. Here is a photo showing a doorway trimmed, as well as our cedar board ceiling (painted with a translucent white-wash) and heavy beams that were painted the trim color. The color is extremely close to the "Swiss Coffee" color of my Kountry Kraft cabinets (which is NOT even close to BM's "Swiss Coffee" btw.) Personally, I think matching the trim is the way to go with the traditional, clean lines of a painted white kitchen. Good luck to you! PS. The blue tape in the photo is marking areas the GC still has to deal with. We redid our entire house and had a TERRIBLE painting crew!!! They got paint on the floors, faucets, sinks, toilets, new doorknobs, etc., etc. AND they DIDN'T paint the tops of ANY doors, any tops of door trim, basically any place they had to get on a ladder to do, or any place they didn't think we'd notice. BEWARE your GC's "finishers"!!! Make sure they are experienced professionals and won't bring in a crew of day-laborers who can't speak English!

If this were my space i'd spend to fix the microwave situation. the walls are the problem as they have a yellow undertone. I dont see the problem w cabs and counter at all. Paint the walls the aesthetic white shown above. or a neutral bone or ivory or a white w more green undertone. stay away from yellow anything due to the true tan/brown of counter/floor.....Then I'd probably swap the glass in the vertical cabs for a smokey/frosted glass. I dont find the clear glass in that situation a plus at all. I dont see any yellow issue w cabinets from these pics........lighting assessment and a neutral wall color will address what you think is a yellow cast to cabs.....but probably is not. Money saved. Fix the corner w microwave.

are you painting those cabinets or getting new ones? Painting? why is the backsplash being done before the cabs? now you're stuck w/the bright white (which I don't think was the best match w/that countertop. ) I would have done white cabinets and Kendall Charcoal on your walls. The floor and tile would have popped w/that wall color. (you still can redo the walls with it. I think it will look better than a bright white. Kendall or Chelsea are warmer grays that would look beautiful w/your wood, the floors and the white. get a sample and just try it on one wall. (you're taking that tile up to the ceiling, yes?) Please, no boob light! gave you a nice flush mount. Who is painting the cabinets? Honestly? I'd keep the cabs as is and get a new countertop (and a diff ceiling light!) You'll spend at least 5K getting those painted (please use a pro cabinet painter and not the house painter guy! ) so take that money and get a lighter counterotop. You could find cheaper replacements if you went w/a pre-fab countertop. they come in quartz, granite, whatever. find a soft, grayish/white quartz, or a creamier white/w/a soft gray undertone. You plan on keeping these floors for a long time? No need picking colors that work w/that floor if you plan on changing it in the next year or so. But, if not possible, pull a light silver gray from the floor and those counters and use that shade. or do a grayish white. lets see the countertop close up Try a sample of these and see how they look w/the other two elements
