I forgot about this post! (I must have been traumatized by the installation, lol.) I will have to put up some pictures later. I actually did the third option. I was concerned about having two seams on such a short wall. Sometimes you have to go with what you have, and although the balance was a bit off, 90% of the seam was covered by the mirror and the vanity backsplash, so in the end it turned out to be much ado about nothing. But oh my, that was a tough installation! I am pleased with the results, but it took me seven hours straight. Squatting to cut the pieces, then up the step ladder to hang. My legs felt it for a couple of days! My fingertips were rough from smoothing the grasscloth out. I used a dry paint roller to do most of the smoothing, but I had to use my fingers to get the seams to be perfect. I didn't have any other major installation issues with the exception of the normal issues that come with hanging paper in rooms that are out of square and have oddly angled walls. I did a lot of dry fitting, and in the end, I think that it is the main reason that it looks good. I'm not sure that I will ever hang grasscloth again, and I am a pretty resilient do-it-yourselfer. Whatever you have to pay to have it professionally installed is well worth it!

I may have totally missed this, but just in case I haven’t... I am a very new gardener, trying learn and absorb as much as I can over the last couple of years. I am slowly adding to a blank slate of a yard, whenever possible, and learning through successes and failure what I can do. I have never attempted a vegetable garden, but I am hoping i can make that happen this year. I would love any seeds that might be available for vegetable or flower garden. I am zone 7b.

Got my seeds the other day. Thanks so much! Many, many lettuces! I'm going to try intercropping [ companion planting ] the lettuce inside my pepper / tomato plant beds this year, putting to use all that wasted space between them that they need to thrive. Here's why I think it will work. - Lettuce is cool weather and likes shade, so the taller plants will keep the direct sunlight from making it bolt - Lettuce will act like a 'living mulch' and keep weeds away - Lettuce will help the soil maintain moisture since it keeps the sun from directly heating the soil after rain or watering - Lettuce is a 'light feeder', it won't compete with the tomatoes and peppers for NPK nutrients - Lettuce stays low to the ground, so air flow to the peppers and tomatoes won't be restricted
