Thank you all so much for your kind comments. It was fun to try and do something with my two sweet furkids on a Halloween card this year. Treat,com has been a good medium for me to work in creating holiday, birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc. cards for my (huge) family and friends these past 4 years. I like that it allows me to change the font and the wording on the cards that I like, as well as giving me the ability to add my own pics. For me, it's been incredibly creative. Thankfully, my Dobie, Ronin, is a very mellow, laid-back guy. And, although Tibetan Spaniels are very, very, very mellow dogs (as well as quiet/non-barky) they do tend to stress out in front of a camera sometimes (LOL). Anyhoo, my goal was to use whatever I could scrounge up here in our costume box and work with it as best I could. I used a number of safety pins and rubber bands to get things to fit right! DD has a huge wardrobe for her little Chloe, so I had a number of things to choose from. I chose the 50's Girl because, while I really enjoyed the movie "Grease", my friends and family all know that I couldn't stand the saccharine sweet song from it, "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee". We had our usual few shows. The interest has been dropping over the years even though there is an ample supply of children near our house. 15 years ago, we had an opposite problem: professional visitors! There were a few familes from a large city one county away who 'raided' the better suburbs for candy and treats. It was the accompaning adult's goal to collect as much loot as possible, then take it home to meter it out in lunches or fence the goods in their neignborhood. We did have a cute pair of boys, possibly a brother team. One was dressed as a gangster. He held a toy gun to his smaller partner's head and said, "Give us candy or he gets it!"

I used to send lots of cards out all the time and contact with some at this time of year only and now its no one sends cards out and I miss that alot, loved it at this time year and receiving cards daily in mailbox, now nothing. And also this special place that had beautiful good cards from England and prices fantastically low priced and would buy up lots on sale each year and lost that store twice, it was bought and then that was sold. We lost good place for cards. Also postage here is too expensive for me to do anything like that and its hard but why send out when they won't send back to you and so I gave up then. I have never dressed up for halloween as an adult. When we were little we had a huge cardboard box full of costumes. Every single year my mother made me dress up as a bride. Every year. We did not go trick or treating usually but attended our schools fall festival which was pretty fun but my friends would tease me that I would come up with all these wonderful ideas for halloween costumes(which they STOLE i might add) and every year i would show up in that bride costume. I have no idea why my mother insisted on it, my older siblings were allowed to choose whatever costume they wanted. Me, I was always a little bride. She still has not explained herself to this day. I get the last laugh though, as always. When she asks me why me and SO have not gotten married after being together for 12 years now, I blame my sinful living situation(her view of it,not mine) on that bride costume. 😉 She is NOT amused when I do but I was not amused to be running around in a too small bride costume for 5 years sooooo... All October long I dress in halloween themed things. For work I have lots of nice enough for work tops with halloween prints, earrings, hats,etc. For everyday I have quite a few t-shirts to wear. My favorite are my "Great Pumpkin Believer" shirt and my "I got a ROCK!" shirt. My coworker dressed up as me for halloween last year. It was weird and she looked foolish. A PALE SUBSTITUTE!!!!
