It's a "puzzle"....many different ones were made with lots of different scenes.....some just had solid colors on the sides of the blocks so they could make many different patterns. Wish I could give you a time frame....but I suspect they were made from the early 20th century on. Linda C

LOL, Luvs, I've been doing the same thing! I had a major meltdown on Sunday when I'd planned to decorate. Was depressed and couldn't stop crying, guess Dad's services the day before made it so 'final' he's gone and it hit me. So yesterday, I went thru our Easter inspiration album and that picked me up and got me interested. Then I looked at my own albums to see what I did last year and the year before. BIG mistake. LOL. Most of it looked pretty pathetic to me and I started to get down again. But I hauled some of my stuff out and put it in middle of table, which forced me to decorate!!! Things were going good, I thought. Then this morning I looked at what I'd done (with only about 1/3rd of my decos so far) and hated half of it. So I started moving stuff and putting away some again. Arrrgggh. I've got two pantry shelves FULL of things to unpack and I honestly don't know what the heck I'm doing! Seems I not only had my holiday decorating spirit missing so far this year, I have lost confidence in myself to do it nicely. I don't know what is going on but I wish it would "go away" instead. I'll get more stuff out and on the table and see where it leads today tho. sigh. Kathleen, I really hate how awful your weather has been. I wish I could wave a magic wand and send you ours from the past week. However now we are going in the opposite direction from you...Spring here is backing off and this week will be downright HOT. Mid 90s. That's not a good sign in March, summer will be terrible for sure. Hopefully our Spring will come back next week, I'm not ready for our good weather to end yet. hugs, Karen

Yachter, you have some very nice things. You are off to a good start, getting the knack of accessorizing takes some practice, believe me I am still practicing! Sometimes I will start out with a particular "vision" and it will turn out to be totally differently. I really have to "play" around with my items, often what I thought would look well, ends up not "doing it for me" then I will roam the house looking for a different item that will work, if I can't find what I want then I will go shoping for that particular thing in mind. Usually it will be that I need something of better height or needing more of a certain color to "carry the theme thru the arrangement, or I am in need of a certain shape. What Tam had posted about my suggestion of doing photocopying and cutting and pasting into a new sheet of paper really helps. It is a suggestion of what I tell anyone that asks, it still helps me to this day if I am up against a more challenging look, or if I am starting from scratch, I really do need visuals to make it easier for me. Plus taking a picture of the finished look helps me to really take a more critical look of what I have just done, then I fine tune it a bit more. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but really and sincerely the book by Christy Carter on Accessorizing is excellent, well worth the buy, I wish I had found it earlier in my struggles, but I still find it very useful. Also, when I find a look by another person or picture, I will "take it apart" in my head and on paper (I make lots of lists) and anaylize it to understand why it works. Alot of times you can simpley just copy their look with your SIMILAR items, just copy the correct heights, shapes of things and similar items and you will be on your way to acheiving your look, personal to your home. This sounds like fun and I think I could have just copied missindia's answers! lol I think we are long lost twins! But I am going to pass this time, as I have several projects in the works. Missindia, usually partners will email each other first to get to know each other better. Then you fill up a box with things you think your partner would like... something they collect, candles, candy, items from your state or area, windchimes, handmade and seasonal items.... some people also send things for the rest of the family and/or furbabies. I have sent (and received) vintage things too! We've never had price limits. You can get a flat rate box at the post office. I think it is $7.95?? and you can fill it with whatever you want with no weight limit. You guys have fun! Maybe I will join the next one?
