My rain guages didn't come cheap, but I have plenty. I had a kid! Consequently I have dozens of makeshift rain guages scattered all over my yard. Here's a picture of While I'm kinda kidding, it does illustrate that it does not need to be fancy. In the sun, the water will evaporate out of the guage, so you can't keep an accurate running total with one. You must check and dump fairly regular no matter what type it is if you want to be accurate. 5 gallon buckets are a liability, as a kid can go head first into one and not get out. A child small enough to do that is also one young enough to not know any better.

If you are going to try this, please do so on a duplicate of a photo or one that you donÂt mind throwing out, rather than an original. I had to go through a few before it actually worked. I placed a drop of the cocoa butter cream on a laminated surface (so that the cream does not get absorbed) and then rubbed the pencil into the cream to make like a color paste. I used a Q-tip to apply very little and very carefully to the areas that I wanted painted. I used photo-friendly color pencils but wonder if any pencils can be used this way, donÂt knowÂthat will be next monthÂs experiment, LOLÂ I hope that you can see the picture attached. ItÂs a little blurry as this is a photo of a photo of a picture..but I think you can appreciate the colors. BTW I saw somewhere on the web that other people had used petroleum jelly. I didnÂt try this as I thought it would be too messy. Then, when I was ready to give up, I gave the cocoa butter a shot. I wouldn't think overdying would give you predictable results. Rit also makes a dye remover. It is just a bleach really. I used it to remove "bleed" on white quite successfully. It will fade the red a bit, though, but not as much as you might think. I suggest you make up a sample of the scraps of red and white, wash it to make it bleed, then try dye remover and see what the results are. Might work.

We would like to be able to buy our paper here in France, but there is a really poor choice (only some paper pizzaz and very expensive) So it is a good way for us to have original and acid-free paper using color copy. We can copy fabrics, wrapping paper (some are really cute but not acid free), a friend of mine copied dried leaves, I saw in a magazine, you can put little things in a clear plastic drawer and copy them (like jelly beans, buttons, cookies... funny isn't it ?) but not tried yet. You can scan your papers too, but in my opinion is a lower quality, but I suppose it depends on your scanner and printer!
