How *lovely*! And fun! Who made them?

They were done by a glassblower in southern Vermont (I am in northern VT); it's called Manchester Hot Glass if you are interested. There are some purple ones as well, I just realized aside from the first photo I didn't capture the purple ones! I will mix and match, probably by pairs where doors meet once the new kitchen is done.

They are gorgeous! Such fun colors! Your kitchen is going to be uniquely yours. Did the glass artisan let you blow a piece? We're near Corning and one of my friends used to work there doing some CAD work - he's a SAHD now. Even the engineers get to blow a piece to take home. It's really fun to watch. Can't wait to follow along with your kitchen progress.

Oh I love them! They will look "spicy" in your kitchen! Very fun- and I love that you are doing various colors instead of just one. Can not wait to see the finished kitchen!

They do look kind of candy-like, don't they? Also remind me of those paper weights you see everywhere, but I would never buy them because they just sit around. Now it's like I got the paperweights in a form that's actually functional.
Didn't actually blow any of these myself but we've been there before and they let you do it, my then 6-year-old daughter loved it. If they were closer I'd try one of their classes just for fun. It's really hard though, and these being cubes were definitely more challenging to make so good thing I left it to the professionals!

Thanks for peeking! I am just having fun after looking at everything on GW for months and not having a darned thing to share, so it's great to have people looking at something finally! Also my DH could care less about stuff like this (aside from how much it costs --lol) -- he came home and liked the knobs, and is always content with whatever I choose, but he doesn't have an opinion on anything during the decision-making process. I know, I am very lucky in this respect, but it also is also hard when you want someone to voice an opinion! SO thanks to everyone who has SOMETHING to say when I post!

I especially liked the photo taken from the side, which shows their lovely shape and depth! wonderful!

I love a woman who loves good knobs LOL And creative ones! I adore them...but I'm a closet knob fanatic as many people know LOL So no suprise.

I think in pair scattered around the room, on white cabs...woozaaaa fabulous! Little touches like that are huge in reality. I can't wait to see them in place.

They are the coolest and most unique knobs I have seen. That one detail will make your kitchen so memorable.

Taliaferro, those are smashing! What an array they have, really beautiful and unique. But I love mine, and love them even more when I see the prices on Megna!! I did REALLLLLY well.....and feel lucky that I sort of dreamed them up and asked the guy if he could make them, and he did. Sandy, where are you more precisely -- we are close I think since BTV itself is 10 minutes or so away!! About 20 minutes door-to-door from downtown Burlington....

they are absolutely lovely, and they will give you some beautiful color options for your new kitchen, i can see colord glass plates, glassware, vases, etc..they would all go so well together..

That's the coolest thing I've seen in a long time!

I've told my DH for years that if I ever won the lottery I would go to Murano and blow glass and live happily ever after. There's just something so beautiful about handmade glass.

THey are so fun and unique...great find and choice.

Hmmm, my brother's best friend does glass blowing. I'll bet he could do this. I wonder where they get the metal base to attach them to? I have handles on most of my cabinets, and knobs on the drawers, all the uppers are handles. I wonder what could be done with handles. It sure is different.

He makes glass handles too! They are fun, sort of like candy canes on their sides.....he doesn't have stock on these, he makes them for each person individually so you have to talk to him about what you want, size and price and all that. Mine were custom since I made them up, he can also do knobs that are round spheres..... He's got a metal crafter who does the hardware parts. It's manchesterhotglass.com, there are pictures of other things on his website and you can see some lighting he's done, also with some metalwork that is done by the crafter he uses to make the hardware..
