I had a similar mushroom growing in one of my amaryllis, except mine was much fatter, and there were a LOT of them. When I unpotted the amaryllis, the soil was chock full of mycilium, and I had to bring out the 'big guns'-- wash the bulb clean and then sterilize with a fungicide. If your mushroom reappears you might want to get rid of that soil. Happy gardening! --Rick in CT

Donna, Not to worry, I am only now trying to use things like YouTube. Here's one way to get to the videos: www.youtube.com Search box: 2bluwings This should list 3 videos I have posted. Here's another way that I should have posted originally (sorry): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TZI2xw5l00 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeV5VgVdPTU&feature=channel_page Those are the 2 ones re. the bluebirds. Here's one about how I found a downy woodpecker roosting in the bluebird box. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgo8mVkfhyc&feature=channe I hope these work for you. I found that as I was entering my videos, a lot of bird videos came up, too. Some of them are quite remarkable. Kathy, I have been glued to the video feed from the nest box since 2005 so this will be my 5th year. My husband is already lamenting the fact that we'll have only one channel: BirdTV. I told him that I'm going to try this year to bring the video into the computer so he can have his TV :) Bluebird blessings, Linda...

Try a CERTIFIED chimney sweep, somebody who has completed a course of training and knows a thing or two about chimneys, how to figure out if they are okay and how to fix them if they are not.

"As for the code, I can see both sides of this discussion. To my recollection, though, no device *ever* specified looping in its instructions. Despite that, it was a fairly common method 30-40 years ago. What's changed?" Just because guys have been "doing it that way for 30-40 years" does not make the practice right or even code compliant. It isn't. They don't call them "terminals" for no reason, you know. They are called "terminals" because that is where conductors are meant to terminate and end....not "pass through". ---------- For the record, I am an AHJ and an electrical inspector. For existing work that had no other practical alternative but to continue to use a looped conductor, I'd permit it. For use in new work, I'd reject it everytime. Because if you plan properly, there is never, ever any reason to use that wiring method. Ever. But I'm sure there will be some older (and younger) ones who would disagree.
