Odd Thomas

I started reading Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz back in November. I was still working at the time and only read on my break. After I retired I was doing too much work around the house to take time to read so I took the book with me to Anna's TaeKwonDo class. A lady there saw me reading and brought me another book to read. I really didn't want it since I wanted to finish this one, but I took it anyway after listening to her praise the author. That book was " My Sister's Keeper " by Jodi Picoult. I was hooked on her books and put "Odd Thomas" on hold to read more of Jodi's books. The book, Odd Thomas, was one that someone left in the breakroom at work to pass along to others. We all did that when we finished reading our paperbacks. It was not one I picked out at a bookstore to read. I will say that it held my interest when reading it though. A couple of weeks ago I decided I was going to finish reading Odd Thomas before starting anything else. I took it with me when I took Bob to the doctor and Anna to the TaeKwonDo classes. Last night I sat in the car and read because I didn't feel well at all and didn't want to spread any germs around unnecessarily. Tonight when she was in class I also sat in the car for 45 minutes and read. I knew if I went in I would start talking to some of the other parents and wouldn't get much if any reading done. I finished the book and I'll have to say it was a good story. It didn't end the way I expected and it was sad, but still it was a good story.

Have any of you read that book? Did you like it?

Linda
