Did anyone see the nanny cam of the twins?

I couldn't believe someone would handle a baby this way. I've tried to find a video on-line of this on Foxnews but haven't found it. This woman was slinging these twin babies around worse than dolls. Picking them up by their clothes and kinda tossing them around the couch. They slid off her big stomach and into the corner of the couch, and then she left them and walked away while they lay helplessly by themselves. Once she carried one like a football through the room. The mother saw it at work and came home and fired her. I don't know if I would've just fired her after she treated my babies like that. The mother really had a lot of self control!

It looks like she planted the camera facing the sofa, across from the TV. Funny how she knew to put it there, she must have suspected that the nanny would plant her butt there most of the time. I would think that taking care of 2 preemie babies would be very time consuming if done correctly and not leave you a lot of TV time.

I really hope the mother or father finds a way to quit working outside the home and stays home to take care of her own babies after all this. How could you ever trust your babies to another after this?

I'm in southwestern CT, and I don't think you want to drive all the way down here. Plus, my Icon twins are 3 years old at this point. When I was looking, these had just come out. The dealer only had the side by side on the floor--they were gorgeous and I ordered them from the picture. The research I did implied it was a toss-up as to reliability, and since Elec had just started the new Icon brand, I knew buying them would be iffy. I bought the extended warranty, which I NEVER do, but I have had absolutely no problems--kind of like taking an umbrella to guarantee it doesn't rain LOL. I suggest you look at ANY Icon refrigerator on the showroom floor to get an idea of the quality of the brand. If you like what you see, then go for it. Hedge your bets by getting the extended warranty also. I know some people on this site prefer two fridges or a freezer in the basement, but I found I forgot about a lot of things in the garage or basement, resulting in spoilage or duplicate purchases. Moni, a friend was just talking about her granddaughter being a nanny in FL to a dr.'s kids. She is a college student. If I remember right, she is paid $12-13/hour. She picks the kids up from school, takes them to activites, shopping (the little girl is allowed to pick whatever she wants to do/buy). She has a debit card to use (her own) that she pays for everything with, keeping the receipts, then is reimbursed. She gives them baths and puts them to bed, ect. Reads to/with them,I forget how old the kids are, but I think just early grade school. Overtime is expected. Over night is expected when they are out of town. She grocery shops, tho my friend has no idea why, as they NEVER eat at home or cook! She did say the the kids were very well behaved everywhere they are taken. To me, that is way too much responsibility for that amount of pay. Tami

byrdseay~ I got mine at Sears toO! I thought mine must have been a 1 of a kind because I've never heard of anyone else owning one too! I've never had any problems with it until now... and I think it's only been serviced once, and that was in the last few years. This will definitely stay in the arsenal, so to speak.

I have the Kenmore Elite Twins, which is identical to the Frigidaire. trailrunner: "I still think they are a lot noisier that reg fridges and in fact have compared them to other brands in every home we go to and usually you can't hear any fridges of any other brand that I have compared. But they now have the Energy Saver of the Twins and they are a more expensive...I pd 1500 for both units together....and I would get them instead if I was doing it over. I love having 2 sep. units and will never go back to a single unit." ditto on the: - loudness of the units. Mine seems to run (kick on) more often than my previous fridges. I've actually called Customer Services about it and they assured me that is normal. - Energy Star. My units are not Energy Star and I wish I could have gotten those rated Energy Star. - never going back to 1 single fridge. My freezer is PACKED. I buy in bulk (this week was 11 pounds of drumsticks for $0.79/#, which I marinated in 4 styles: Spanish with olives and raisins, balsamic vinegar and anise, teriyaki, and buffalo). I'm also short so the tall Subzero nor Thermador were never a consideration. I can't reach to the top shelf, let alone to the back of it. The fridge capacity is a bit small, especially when DH buys beer for the soccer party the same day I go grocery shopping, but it works for my family of 4.

I certainly would have called in the police too. I hope she does get charged and never works as a Nanny again!

It's pretty hard to miss--it's being played on all the news channels, and even the talk shows almost constantly this week. Anyone who wants to see it should catch it eventually. It's so terrible, turns my stomach every time I see it.

I'm SO glad that Fox finally showed the video without the smudge on the woman's face last night, and released the woman's name. Every mother and potential mother in this country needs to get a good look at that woman so they never hire her to care for their children.

I'm so glad the mom saw this on the first day this woman worked for her, and was able to quickly put an end to the situation, but what really saddens me is the fact that the abusive babysitter has a child of her own. How horrible. Hey, a question--where WAS the woman's child while she was out abusing someone else's children?

I was horrified when I saw this the other day. What a sicko. She is intentionally being cruel to the babies. I hope she has the "book" thrown at her.

I"m not sure if this is the same story, (I don't want to see the video) but one nanny they caught on camera abusing a baby came with wonderful glowing reviews!?!?
