Sugars such as molasses grow bacteria. There is always sufficient bacteria in compost if the compost was kept aerobic. The compost if properly made will have more than sufficient bacteria and if the compost contained a high percentage of woody material such as wood pellets or chips for horse bedding it will also have sufficent fungi, again assuming it was kept aerobic. If you want to brew tea and you do it aerobic it will smell good and be good. Don't put any bacteria food such as molasses in the compost tea since the bacteria can grow so fast the aeration cannot keep up with the growth and it can still go anaerobic. The trick is to grow fungi. Daylilies prefer a soil that has three times as much fungi as bacteria so you need a compost that is primarily woody material with about 30-40 % manure. The wood grows fungi. You need fungal foods such as rolled oats, cornmeal, feathers. Then you can get the fungi to attach to the fungal foods and you are on your way to excellent aerobic compost tea. Good compost is better than compost tea, but more expensive and more difficult to spread so that is why compost tea is used. It takes about 1 cup of compost to make 4-5 gallons of compost tea.

LOL and talla mirrors me, LOL so she squashes my last nerve and grinds it into the ground and all, but now when i feel that, i just calmly hug her and say something nice, that's very hard!! LOL tabor is adhd, his is concentration, so we had him on the different meds, and they just werent working, so finally i said no more!! and when we took her out, it was only fair to take him out, her's was because they wouldn't do anything for a boy biting and picking on her, she was terrified to go back, so we said to h** with it. and tabors was to take him off all the meds. so now it works great!! i give them sleepy time tea, and it calms them down to concentrate. works perfectly!! man i'm good!! After yearning all my apartment-living life for a house with a garage...I finally have one and rarely use the garage! We can fit one car in there and still have a little storage room in the back, but I generally only pull in (sometimes) if a big storm is coming. Like most in this neighborhood, it's a detached, single wide, cinder block style. It has windows on either side and a door near the back, but the framing is coming loose and/or things have settled so much that the door won't close because it doesn't fit the opening anymore. We keep it closed with a padlock to a metal hinge type thing! And at one time it had electricity, though never a door opener. We can't figure that out - there's a light switch, a light bulb and an electrical wire that runs along the top of the cinderblock near the rafters - only we can't figure out where it goes INTO the garage! We suspect that it ran underground and got messed up when they extended the kitchen backwards and built a deck, or maybe the appropriated the breaker for something else? So, it's a pretty shabby garage painted an appalling lime green on one side, but I'm still happy to have it. Haven't done much to it besides adding a pegboard to the walls to hang garden tools on. Even more important than a garage on the wishlist for my next house would be a double driveway. We live in a city that doesn't allow overnight parking and doing the car shuffle in our very narrow single wide driveway is a real pain!

I have used pet febreeze on occasion but spray it outside and let it stay out there awhile before I bring it back in the house. I don't really like to use sprays though. I have two of the smelliest dogs on the planet. We have a pool and after they swim, one smells like farts and the other like stale beer. They smell like the day after a frat party :)
