I have this one in my files but I don;t know whose it is...
Chinese Potsticker Dumplings
2 garlic cloves 2 green onions a small piece of ginger (about 1 1/2"long) 1 Lb lean ground pork or Chicken or Turkey (I use shrimp sometimes) 1/3 small head Napa Cabbage (I use bamboo shoots sometimes) 2 Tbl soy sauce 2 Tbl sesame oil 1 1/2 Tsp salt
In a large bowl. Peel and crush garlic through a press. Add sliced green onion, grate ginger on a fine grater until you have about 1 heaping teaspoon. Slice cabbage thinly until you have about 3 cups.~ Mix in meat, sesame oil, soy and salt. Mix all well.~ Fill and form dumplings.~
Dipping sauce:~
1/4 c soy sauce~ 1 1/2 t sesame oil~ 1 T vinegar~ 1/2 t chili paste.~
You may want to add a bit of water, a teaspoon of sugar or a little grated ginger.
Thank you! That does sound like the recipe I've used before. So many of the recipes I googled were overly complicated and not what I want. I have an excess of green onions leftover from a wedding so I thought I would make a batch of potstickers for the freezer.
