it all sounds exactly as it should be! delighted to hear things are going so well and i'm looking forward to some pics, of course! but what i'd really like to know is, who bought the most items and who spent the most in the "toy store"? inquiring minds wanna know these things!!!

Wow! What a fun trip. Did Peddlers Village have their scarecrow display still up? Their festivals and Christmas displays are awesome, another place I miss very much after moving from Buck's County. Can't wait for the pics. Hope the rest of the trip is as much of a blast as the first day! Gina

Gosh I wish I had known about this one! I was oh so very close to Alexa's neighborhood on Friday afternoon-furniture shopping with my mom...I coulda used a martini LOL!!!

Last December I went to NY and looked all over for that Naked Cowboy! He was no where to be seen. Darnit!

OMG I am still hungover!

What a fab time I had with woodie, chase and lakeguy. They are even more fun in person then you can even imagine.

I will let someone else describe the "New York Minute" tour - suffice it to say we covered a LOT of ground in a very short time. The show was really great (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) and my ribs are still sore from all the laughing. Dinner was a great meal at woodie's favorite restaurant and we had the cab ride of our lives. I think woodie has bruises from me and chase grabbing her arm as we went spinning around corners at a very quick speed.

This really was a very memorable (what I can remember of it LOL) weekend and I can't wait to see them all again.

Yes it was quite the weekend, at least from what I can remember! Thanks goodness Clive left today for two days in Montreal so I can sleep, fast and detox! LOL

The weather wasn't as cooperative as it could have been but it didn't keep us down. Rained all day Friday as you can tell from the picture in the bar! Saturday it stopped raining just as we got onto NYC so at least it was dry for the tour.

We saw Times Square, The New York Library , Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Square, Sak's 5th Avenue, Park Ave, Broadway, and David and I think we saw Radio City Music Hall! That was all in the first 20 minutes. As Alexa says , I now know what a New York Minute is! Woodie is quite the tour director! The show was hysterical and set the tone for a very lively evening!

I loved all that we did but the best times were sitting around Woodie's table yapping! You would have thought we had known each other for years...well I guess we sorta have!

A big thanks to Woodie and Alexa for their hospitality and to to them and David for my wonderful surcies! You are amazing people!

We did have a couple of food experiences inbetween the martini mayhem! The weather was pretty uncooperative with pouring/teeming rain, so we didn't rush out of the house to get into Manhattan to do the anticipated walk-around sightseeing nor was anybody really interested in breakfast (its a "just black coffee, please" kind of a crowd) so we went for a late brunch at a NJ diner on our way to the city. David had eggs benedict and the gals went for the lunch menu - grilled roast beef (rare and juicy) with cheddar, carmelized onions and horseradish sauce for Woodie, Sharon had a cheeseburger and Alexa had (if I remember this correctly) a grilled pastrami or corn beef with swiss cheese and cole slaw - we all liked our food a lot and we liked the waitress even better - she was a Rachael Ray clone, LOL, bubbly, enthusiastic, opinionated and cute.

At dinner they were all kind enough to humor me and we went to my favorite place! The drinks are large and the food is good - we were a bit on the late side and I had wanted them to get to see the great wine cellar that they're famous for, but we just didn't get the chance - y'all have to come back sometime! We shared some shrimp and stuffed mushrooms and our entrees were lasagna, Chicken Girasole (very thin and pounded tender with prosciutto and mozzarella in white wine sauce), shrimp scampi and Fettucini Alfredo - 2 desserts came home with us and I didn't try either one, so I don't know what they were! We sat up a bit on the late side (to say the least) and continued partying around my kitchen table and sharing dessert.

I had the time of my life this weekend! Its really a special thing to meet people that you've talked with for several years and (I think I can speak for us all) that we feel like we've known each other for a long time - well I guess we have, LOL, but to finally be together live, in person and in living color is really something else!

Amazing weekend with some amazing friends that's for sure! Glad to see that Woodie shared some of the good food we enjoyed over the weekend...yes we did eat..LOL! Just forgot to get pictures.

Woodie and Ken had to deal with airline delays Thursday night but they sure showed some great Jersey hospitality when we arrived at their place. Cocktails first, followed by a great chili and the famous "Ken" salad...wine too. Dessert (and a breakfast nible with that black coffee the next morning) was a yummy apricot dessert bar that I'll be making soon. Poor Woodie finally got us to go to bed way after two in the morning. It was great to meet Ken, Woodie's DH, what a great guy!

My first time in NYC was something I'll never forget. The New York Minute Tour, fabulous Broadway Show, and dinner at Woodies(Mom for the night..lol)favorite place. The cab ride was something else for sure...the poor driver didn't know what to think. What else can a guy ask for?? Three classy ladies and a naked cowboy....LOL!

Thanks again Woodie and Alexa for being the perfect hosts and tour guides for the weekend. Also, thanks for all of the surcies....and no, I'm not telling what anyone bought at the "special" store...they had some interesting cake pans though...LOL!

I wish we had more pics to share but we were having too much fun and forgot to take them.....some we agreed not to post for various reasons...I'll leave it at that..LOL!

I can't believe that I missed this first go round; I guess I was too busy getting ready for PFPP. David filled me in on all of the fun you had in NYC and other destinations. I'm glad that you ladies took good care for our guy...he's a keeper.

I can't believe the NC is still around. He had just started his shtick when I saw him in the dead of winter. I thought if nothing else, pneumonia would have gotten him.
