It was not on Black Friday, but I did camp out for a WII when they were just about impossible to find! Found a website that tracked shipments, so I knew Best Buy and Target were getting them in. Was awake anyways so I headed out for Best Buy at 5:00 AM...well, there were already so many people in line that I drove past it and went to Target instead. GOOD MOVE. Within 2 minutes hoards (literally) of cars were in the Target lot (right next door). People started running to get a place in line. I was #32 and after waiting for several hours rumor had it they had at least 50. Yes, I did get the WII, my son was very grateful! My only regret was that it was VERY cold that morning, and I was under dressed.

Porcelanosa has 40% off the entire store for modern vanities, tiles, fixtures, and kitchens. Interested in hearing about others as we are in same boat.

A dozen years ago i searched for the perfect bedside analog battery back-up alarm clocks. Big love as braun went china. Soft light, easy to read without glasses, a soft crescendo alarm , not annoying...perfect and satisfied...fast forward ten years. They did that itty-bitty malfunction as things do....soft night-light bulb died, etc. Replacements available but 75$ each now, lol. Not really 75 buck nice. Wake up to smart devices. Plugs, bulbs. timers. 4-5 things on the stove and in the oven...timers set without need to ever hand wash. Life changing... So I have a DH stocking full of smart devices. 😂 He turns on two smart bulbs every morning with voice command. No stumbling in the dark. A smart device holiday. Bargains.

" toronto, the big box shopping center offers no communal experience and that makes it a dead cold experience. " I don't disagree, which is why most people don't linger in big box shopping centers. What I said was that they go for those other experiences you mention somewhere else, at some other time. I see people choosing to separate those two things (socializing and shopping), as I do, whereas you think they should go together. When I shop, I want to get what I want quickly and efficiently, and get out (except for hardware stores, which I love to linger in) - I don't like shopping, and I don't want to make it part of an outing or a social day. It's a necessity, not an event. When I want an outing, to see what's around, to have lunch with a friend, or to watch the world pass by, I go to a coffee shop, library, or local farmer's market. " I am certainly not going ot add to the exhaustion of it all by trying to map anyone else's desires or wants so that I get the prefect thing that pleases them. " Fine.....do what you like. But I think if people are going to give gifts, they shouldn't give gifts they want to give, but give gifts they believe the other person would want. Nowhere did I say anything about perfection.
