What do you all do with pink?
Comments (11)Thanks to all for suggestions. And Steve - glad to hear I am not the only one with this problem! It seems I get stuck with my favorite color combinations, so of course I make those arrangements first. However, this time I made a point to use my pink flowers first and came up with 2 really pretty bouquets! Thankfully, my lime or envy zinnias just started coming in, and I found that I actually DO like pink with green!!! I guess I am not alone, because a woman walked up, pointed at it, and said "Yes - how much?" It's always so validating when others find your creations as beautiful as you do! I have attached a link to some pictures of my bouquets. The pink and green is the last pic in the first post. Forgive the pink bucket it is in - that is where we keep sold bouquets until customers come back to pick them up :) Thanks again for the suggestions. I think I just got "un-stuck" with pink as long as I have my chartreuse zinnias! Here is a link that might be useful: bouquet pictures...See Morepink, Pink, PINK
Comments (6)This rose is not boring at all, it has many shades of pink and has the delicacy of a cherry blossom. One of the most beautiful things in spring is the falling rain of cherry blossom petals, so for me it would be a reall pleasure to see the falling rose petals flying in the wind and covering the ground with color and the air with intoxication, like a rain, like snowflakes, like showers....See Morewhat do you do with pink tile in the master bathroom?
Comments (6)Tile on my (tiny iPhone) screen looks gold/grey. Is there another view that brings out the pink? The granite top looks very 80s and combined with 80s panelled cabinet doors seem at odds with the tiles which have a more 20s/30s vibe. Can you change door fronts to something flat and simple, and change bench top to better match the new wall colour and a simpler light. Best of luck....See MoreChipped tile at door threshold in new bathroom. What to do?
Comments (23)The tile I have in the bathroom is called "Regency Grey Tile" 3/8" thick porcelain from Floor and Decor. Here is a side view. Before people start judging me, this is how the seller's had it (but they had a white marble threshold), and I'm new to all this, so I didn't know any better. The difference in height as you step into the bathroom has always been there and has never bothered me. But maybe going to a wood saddle can reduce it a bit, although even without the marble, the tile bathroom floor is over an inch higher than the hardwood floors. But a wood saddle can also cover the side profile of the door threshold which will be nice. Just not keen on seeing wood inside the bathroom with doors closed, but can't get it all at this point I guess. I just wish there was a way I could get a custom piece of granite/quartz cut that could be a new threshold and cover those chips. GC told me marble can't be cut that thin (for that last 1 inch to cover the chips) because it will break. How can those grey tiles be used for to make a "saddle"? I have a few extra and they are large tiles...Beth, I sort of understand what you said, just a bit confused. The bathroom really looks great aside from this. This is the one thing they got wrong. Just trying to fix it and make it look as good as possible at this point. I really want marble/quartz/granite for the threshold...I just dont want to have to cut the tiles in there and damage the door moldings....See Morejmc01
