Is It Unreasonable?

We're in the middle of an ice storm on the NC coast. BIL called late this evening. Their power is out and they wanted to come spend the night with us. They have three boys - 5, 4 and one month. Of course, the one month old is sleeping and not a problem.

The other two are, well, unruly. They are allowed to run around at home and do whatever they want. They throw a tantrum if they don't get their way. DH and I usually go to bed around 9:30-10:00. These kids have no bedtime; they are allowed to just stay up until they decide they want to go to bed. BIL knows when we go to bed. It's now 9:50 and instead of calming the kids down by reading to them, the parents have them playing video games and they're running and jumping through the house.

I'd like to just go to our room, close the door and go to sleep. Our house just isn't large enough to drown out this noise. Plus, our bedroom shares a common wall with the living room where BIL and the oldest kids will be sleeping on an air mattress (SIL and her mother will be sharing the guest room with the baby).

SIL is on maternity leave and BIL is taking time off for a few weeks. So neither of them has to work tomorrow. My office was closed today and while I worked some from home, I'm sure I'll have a long day tomorrow playing catch-up. Same with DH. None of them seems to have any intentions of going to bed anytime soon. I'm a light sleeper and it all be impossible for me to sleep with them talking and playing video games in the next room. I would understand if they were trying to get the kids to bed and the kids didn't want to cooperate, but they're not doing that. I'm sure both of them will throw a tantrum when we take away the iPads they're playing game on (they belong to us). Is it unreasonable of me to expect that they'd try to be a least a little respectful of mine and DH's schedule and the fact that we need to get up early in the morning?
