my cabbage soup was yummy too

or, at least, I thought so.

I took all the advice from others about the cabbage soup, and made up this concoction:

1 head cabbage shredded

6 carrots shredded

4 stalks celery shredded

1 onion shredded

6 gloves garlic shredded (lol, can you see a pattern here? I just shredded everything with my dandy electric shredder)

Brown about a pound of very lean ground beef, add the onion and garlic, then the carrots, then all the rest. Add about a half teaspoon salt, 1/2 ts paprika, 1/4 ts pepper.

When all is sauteed, pour in about a half a big carton of beef broth and let simmer for 30 minutes.

The veggies are still somewhat crunchy, and have a lot of flavor.

Lucky for me, my husband didn't like it, due to the fact it had ground beef (he usually avoids red meat), thus I have plenty left over frozen for quick meals for myself. :)
