Every day, children who come to the clinic write their names on sheets of paper and tape them to the windows of the walkway for ironworkers to see. And, every day, the ironworkers paint the names onto I-beams and hoist them into place as they add floors to the new 14-story Yawkey Center for Cancer Care.

Oh, this is great info, thanks, Liz. I'll be watching for it and I plan to get this book. Animal books I'll buy, I keep them in the guest room for guests to have a little something to read. (I think I've bought "That Quail, Robert" at least 5 times to replace "borrowed" copies.)

Thanks, Casey, for sharing this heartwarming story of the gift that those considerate ironworkers are giving to the children.

What a tragic thing it is that such small children have to cope with the scourge of cancer.

And it will get worse ... for we keep finding more of these complex and exotic chemicals (which aren`t tested as much as they should be) ...

... and for certain some of them will turn out in future years to have been human-unfriendly.
