I got to go with friends today

to get their marriage license. In Iowa you have to have a witness with you to get the license. We had the clerk take pictures with my camera. The license form in Iowa no longer says "bride" and "groom", it says participant 1 and participant 2. It also asks both parties what last name they want to have after the wedding. The bride to be was so nervous. It is a second marriage for both. The wedding isn't until April 13 but the groom lives out of state. I just found out today that I get invited to the wedding. Yippeyyyy. The venue only holds 65 and the bride had told me earlier that I wouldn't be invited because she could not invite the whole congregation. She is one of our pastors. The couple decided that if I was the witness to the license I had to attend the wedding and so I get invited. Just me and the church staff from here. The wedding is at a beautiful venue in Dubuque right on the Mississippi River where they met 2 years ago when the bride was officiating at a wedding and the groom was best man.
