brie with apples sounds very good . We had a very light lunch so tonight we had deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, gravy, green peas, and tried a new "fried chicken" recipe from the Deen brothers. I was a little leary of the cornflakes for the coating, and wow was I surprised, Guess it was the seasoning, but it sure didn't taste like cornflakes. Used light mayo, egg whites, lemon juice, lemon zest, to coat the boneless chicken thighs. Three year old granddaughter came over for dinner and she loved the chicken. Oh, almost forgot, granddaughter and I made peanut butter chocolate candy. She loves chocolate , and so do I. They taste like reece cups and we ate them until we almost got sick. My plan for tomorrow is to eat light.

Oh, I love Deviled Eggs! We try to eat them during the year instead of holidays. Great with sandwiches.

My dinner was fantastic! We have this thing going with my son and his wife. They like to get out a couple of Saturdays a month and go shopping and out to eat sans kids, who are 4 mos. and 2 yrs. old.

So we watched the grands all day and the kids always go to Texas Roadhouse, and they bring us back steak for watching the kids! lol.

This time they brought us the bloomin' onion thingy as an appetizer to go with the meal. Excellent!

That chicken sounds good--know what you mean about the corn flakes though. I'd be leery, too. Glad it turned out well.

Oakleyok, I think you get the best of that deal. You get to play with your grandchildren AND eat steak. Woohoo!!
