Not exactly a wedding picture (but close!)

The actual ceremony took place indoors, in a lodge at the top of the mountain. I'm guessing they kissed there, too. :-)

But here they are shortly afterward, in their wedding garb. (He's a lot taller than she is.)

What a wonderful picture! Congratulations to the bride and groom and their daughters...and to the proud mother of the bride. Your daughter and granddaughter are absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to see more wedding pictures.

Thanks you guys...Have been meaning to post these (and more) for a while but just can't ever seem to find enough time... Linda, It's a really long story but a while back I had some of my pink brug cuttings get mixed up...It's either Frosty Pink or an unknownd ID pink I have so I just call it "Uknown Pink". Whatever it is, it blooms like crazy and seems to be more of a shrub-type that starts Y-ing at about 5 feet. Not as strongly scented as some of the yellow/oranges but still very nice. Kayrn, several years ago I gave a FP to a friend of my Mothers...She had room for only one and wanted pink. So of course she was highly upset when she saw those yellow blooms the first time they started opening! She was happy again though the following day... Chena, it's been gloom and doom here also. We had cold and cloudy for about 5 days straight I think. Now a little sun but just too cold and windy to do anything outside... All of my in-ground brugs have sprouted out new leaves already...The real cold always seems to hit here in February so I know they're all about to get zapped.

Oh my, Allison I am sorry! I wondered how your DD2 became engaged and married so fast :-( I should have known you would at least have posted a dress issue or something on the conversations board with all that wedding talk! Very sorry for that misunderstanding. But initially the posts that crossed over to houzz were not dated, so I had no idea the thread was four years old. Now I see they are dated, although in the faintest possible ink color. (Houzz must have mostly 20 and 30 something users with better eyesight.) At any rate, the groom may not have been a keeper but the flowers were lovely!

My youngest niece's wedding was a riot. The groom does not dance, so he decided there would be no dancing at the wedding. They did have a three piece jazz group. Of course everyone thought you were supposed to dance so watching people try to gyrate to the jazz was hysterical. They both love fly-fishing and had a fishing theme -- ahem. The wedding cake had a fish on top that looked like it was dead -- seriously, a dead trout lying on top of the cake. There was a groom's cake and I never did decide what that shape was. The centerpieces were bowls of goldfish. Cute -- but what do you do with 100 goldfish after the wedding? In the end, a good time was had by all but there was a lot of eye-rolling and tongue biting. Yes -- kudos for you for pulling this one off. It will make a good family story for years. I wish the couple much happiness and a home of their own!

I know what Prepaid Legal is. A best friend got 'into' it, thinking it was the most wonderful thing in the world, and that 'everyone' would automatically 'want' to buy it. Being a best friend, she asked me to 'just watch' the video. She said it was really neat! I did just that...watched it, and then told her it was something that 'some' folks may want to pay for every month for the rest of their lives, but I wasn't one of them. Didn't foresee needing an attorney anytime in the next 10-20 years or so. She soon dropped out of it...finding it wasn't the great easy money maker she thought it would be. I think your friend sounds really hooked on it....determined to be one of the few at the top of that pyramid...What it might all boil down to is his worship of the almighty dollar, and not value such 'things' as friends and old friendships. Sounds like he has set himself up for a rude awakening sometime on down the road. His loss. Like Nancy said...all his 'friends(?) are probably all ate up on that PL crapola. Sue

They are wonderful photos Susan - they made me smile too. Best wishes to the bride and groom, Lizzie and the girls. That's quite a spectacular view from the mountain top and the newly wedded couple are showing great form as they ski down the slope.

No tulle? Please tell me your grand daughter wasn't skiing backwards in order to get the action shot! LOL
