UGH! Now, if it was served on a bagel, it might be good though hard to bite through. Maybe use a patty of sausage instead of the burger. Like a Mac Donald's breakfast biscuit sandwich. I get one of those every year or two, and they are tastey. I wish I could get one instead of a hamburger sometimes.

I would personally not eat this; I've been watching out for my cholesterol levels for a few years. I ocasionally eat a hamburger but I've sworn off donuts for good.

I would eat everything on that sandwich. But doubtful I would eat them all together. I would be too chicken to try eggs and donuts together. I would take it apart and eat each thing separately, haha.

I would not order that in a restaurant or make it at home. If I was at a friends house and she was making them and offered me one, or if there were samples at Bj's I would try it out of curiousity. I like donuts, eggs, and burger, but can't imagine this tasting very good! Some people love them though. Am I the only bad one??

I know I posted my answer earlier today but it's not here. Must have been a submit glitch.

I am picky about burgers. One quirk is the bun must be toasted. So a soggy or soft bun is already on my hit list. So I can't imagine the texture of a donut. Would definitely bring up my gag reflex.

I like donuts (too much) except for those horrid wads of slime that Krispy Kreme puts out.

I do love a good Australian burger though. That was what a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg (slammed) on top was called the first time I came across one.

Sounds disgusting. I like to keep savory (salty) and sweet foods separate. Though I might eat two donuts first, then have a full breakfast of bacon and eggs. With lots of coffee. Paula Deen doesn't appeal to me either, I hate all her "yawls" and her folksy ways. I noticed her son Bobby has a new cooking show coming on soon. "Not your mama's cooking" or something like that...

Never saw an egg on a burger there. Wonder why they call it that here. Never had pickled beet on a burger but I will be sure to try it. Sounds better than the pickle slices we often get here.

I do remember our becoming confused at one restaurant where the menu stated a hamburger came with salad. Here a salad is a separate dish in a bowl served with dressing. There it was a few slices of lettuce and a slice of tomato to place on the burger. The norm here to serve with burgers but not worthy of mention on a menu.

I don't like glazed donuts so probably not. I might take a bite just to see? I am kid of fussy about my foods too. I like eggs and bacon, but to eat them together in one bite seems very odd to me, not to mention on a burger. Adding that super sweet sugar taste-ugh! The thought of my hands getting all greasy freaks me out too!

I thought there was a ballpark in Chicago or GreenBay (??) maybe that served a burger like this. Saw it on one of the Food Network shows. They were spotlighting odd foods or speciality ballpark items.

IN Sious Falls SD there is a little joint that servesa cneesebuger with a hard fried egg on it. They sell a lot of them. I used to make it for a special in the morning where I work. not on a glazed doughnut though that just sounds nasty.

No. First off, I don't really like mixing sweet with savoury like that. Second, those glazed donuts have way too much glaze on them, so I wouldn't even be able to eat them separately. Third, I don't even want to think about taking a bite of a burger and having egg yolk spurt on me LOL.

I have tried a buger that was served between two grilled cheese sandwiches. It was AWESOME. We did split it between four people though.

Wildchild, cheese, egg and bacon aren't standard on a burger here but are commonly asked for as extras. If you get all three that's one "with the lot". Salad is generally mentioned because some people like it and some don't and it saves them asking if yours are with or without :-) The salad for a burger where I currently work is shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced pickled beet, fried onions, and shredded carrot. Some places include sliced cucumber but I don't like cucumber :-)
Burgers "with the lot" often have a catchy name which varies from business to business (and often reflects the business name). For instance if the business was "Fred Flintstone's Burgers, it might be the "Bedrock Burger". I like the "Zen Burger"- one with everything :-)

If someone made it for me, I'd at least try it. Otherwise, not happening in this house.

As far as Paula Deen goes, I see her diabetes as an opportunity. She could introduce healthier foods and appeal to the masses if she would put her mind to it.

Well, guess what? I would! I often serve sweet rolls of one sort or another with meats. Sweet and savory are wonderful together. I think as pictured that sandwich would be very difficult to manage, but I bet it's delicious!

as for that sandwich, wonder when she came up with the idea? it could have been several years ago and being reshown? our krispy kream store lasted only couple of years...we wondered if the location half a block from an established dunkin donut store had any reason?? lol...
