They know what I'm gonna get as soon as I walk in the door.

Today, the one that does the meat says "where ya been mama".

Busy, busy again. Cheryl and I took 3 dogs to the groomers this morning and then went shopping. First stop at Cracker Barrel for breakfast. I had the french toast with maple syrup and unsweetened iced tea. Then after breakfast it was a day of going everywhere it seemed. Later in the day we stopped at Steak and Shake and had a hot dog with coleslaw and everything on it and fries and a great big unsweetened iced tea. Then more shopping and finally go back to pick up the dogs. I am glad to be home. So no real supper for me, I guess the hot dog meal was mine.

Ravioli, meatballs, salad. oh - and a nice glass of red wine too. DH is cooking!

I made turkey salisbury steaks for my evening meal. Had a boiled potato to put the gravy on, and steamed some corn.

I pounded out a couple boneless pork chops to make cutlettes, doctored a pkg of chicken gravy mix, heated up some Simply Potatoes, and cooked parsnips and carrots in foil seasoned with S & P and butter. All was yummy

Made broccoli/cheese soup from Shore Lunch......it was quite good, for a mix. They are usually too salty, but this was OK.....I threw in a little cooked chicken.

I'm roasting chicken thighs over a bed of sliced russet potatoes, onion, and carrots - with a chunked sweet potato over to the side (no need to dirty two roasting pans!)

Everything is sprinkled or rubbed with a garlic/rosemary/olive oil mix.

I wasn't even thinking of supper when DH came home, just didn't realize it was that time, I had not yet had lunch. So while I finished up a couple of proposals and a travel request he made supper. He pulled a bag of sliced turkey out of the freezer (I roasted a turkey last Thursday) opened a jar of gravy, made french fries (he's so bad) and some frozen green beans. It was awesome.

A friend of ours lives in a new retirement facility and she invited us and another couple to dine in their dining room. it was a great opportunity to check the place out for future reference. Her home was very nice and dinner was very good. I had scallops and a Caesar salad. DH had a filet and mussels. My friend Pat had a ham steak and soup, as did the hostess.
