Miss Myra's bbq, again.

I had to stop gals at the back, from giving me my regular chicken salad. They looked stunned!

Half of a smoked chicken, left most of the breast, and their white bbq sauce for dipping.

Didn't even eat my pickle spear!

Not a clue, I'm just finishing up a few things and still haven't had lunch.

Grrr, I had your Spanish Rice in my slow-cooker and it's been on for 6 hours. I've made it twice and we love it!
Tonite the rice wasn't cooked. Nothing like having crunchy rice with hamburger, and veggies. The flavour was there. Hubby didn't "mind" it bless his heart. He had a second small helping. So the rest of it is still cooking in the slow-cooker.
The only thing different was I used basmati rice (well-rinsed).

Cathyid, oh I wish I was at your house. There's nothing in the world better than chicken and noodles. My mother made the best. I make my own, too. What a wonderful dinner.

Jasdip, I love basmati rice--never noticed it took longer to cook than regular rice. I do love that dish but the kids love it more and it's something they can all eat with all their food quirks.

Lynn, isn't your boss on his honeymoon? Feel flattered, he must be missing his right-hand gal! Sounds like a good night for carryout or eat out. You must be exhausted.

Glenda, I sure hope you brought that leftover chicken home. I love anything smoked! And I love Alabama white barbecue sause. Throw in a little lettuce and tomato and you have lunch tomorrow! I'm sure glad you got over that nasty flu.

Shrimp scampi with garlic toast.

I cooked a mix of barley and wild rice in chicken broth. Took a serving of it and added steamed peppers and onions to it. So that, along with spinach meatloaf and green beans was my evening meal. It looked very colorful on the plate.

After watching Alyssa today, Cheryl, Amber, Alyssa and I went to eat at Lincoln Square. It took a long time for our food to get ordered and served. I had two pieces of white fish, green beans, salad, roll and I shared my mashed potatoes and gravy with Alyssa. Not a bit hungry this evening so I just drank some grapefruit juice I had left from this morning. I had water to drink. Mine was the senior meal. Since the service was so slow they took ten percent off our total bill.

We ended up having linguine with white clam sauce. I'll pay for those carbs tomorrow but boy did it taste good! It's an easy, and fast, fix.

No, he went on his honeymoon the day after Christmas. He was entertaining clients on the west coast last week, came home last night. 'We' (aka I) are re-doing our websites, evaluating a $3000 database subscription and investigating a bike share program. Our poor graphics and web designer is about pushed to the limit.

had thawed a chunk of round steak...browned it both sides added the usual soups tomato and onion mix...and it was nicely tender...(2hours in the oven)had enough for dh's lunch tomorrow..i saved the tiny bit of sauce left for me tomorrow...

Oh my. My saving grace of having uncooked rice, is that I made an apple pie tonite. I haven't made one in a long time.....it turned out fantastic. Doesn't look all that pretty, but who cares. It's light and flaky and it's apple.

After visit at usual library (they were surprised at my leaving early) ... I went to church in that village - a couple of cars - dancing class.

Visited another village - church dark.

Came to this village, to one of the churches that I frequent - just in time for end of Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, put on by the youth group ... had 3, had to scrape butter dish ... also scrape maple syrup bowl ... if they had sausages earlier, didn't see any.

I was thinking that I have a pot of stew on the stove, so I'll dig into that on my return home - ground beef, potatoes, onions, peas. Probably a piece of pie from freezer - will have to take it out on arrival. Maybe some yogurt; possibly some ice cream.

No Mardi Gras around here ... that I know of: too cold.

We had the red beans and rice. It had a very nice flavor. DH loves anything with a "kick" and that it had. He will be getting it again Friday night when I go out with the girls.

We went to the Mardi Gras celebration in The Villages and then ate at a restaurant we go to all the time so nothing special. I had a hamburger. Boring dinner except for the good company as there were 10 of us.
